Farthest, and longest trip just this weekend going from Los Angeles to San Francisco, around San Francisco/San Jose area, and back. Total distance was 1150 miles, or roughly 1850km. Longest ko na rin yon because it took 8 hours each way, taking our time going 75-80mph. Vehicle of choice: 1983 300D Mercedes-Benz w123. Yep, not a single problem going there and back, except one bit where it stalled possibly due to my heavy driving and hard braking, when traffic came to a crawl. Other than that, it was back to its old self. I was passing people up the mountains when they were going 45mph+ and I was just passing them easily going 70! That turbo really helps a lot especially with a car that's loaded with passengers, fuel and luggage with a mere 120hp but 170lb-ft of torque.
All I can say is, the car deserves a huge gift on its upcoming birthday this December 27th![]()

travelling is my jobmy last trip took me from manila to san vicente. if you look on the map, this is the northern most point, past appari to the right. then on my way back, i went via laoag. the entire trip took 2weeks, because i have work on different town/city every night, every night, different hotel, different city.
last year i went on a tour of mindanao (still job-related of course), starting in zamboanga city, then going to iligan, CDO, butuan, compostella valley, davao city, cotabato, gen san then back to davao city where i flew back home to manila. the trip took 3 weeks straight. in 3weeks, i was able to set foot on every province in mindanaoumabot din pala ako ng tawi-tawi! pero via plane un, so i guess it doesn't count.
i love my job!! it's more of a paid vacation :D
pic taken in aparri. naubusan na ko ng kalsada!!
