Vacation in Subic - any suggestions?

Hi! My GF's family and I are planning to go for a vaction in the North this long weekend break. Any Suggestions?

I already checked on Monte mar in bataan pero fully booked na eh....

Subic? Bataan?

when u get there, there are so many places to stay... along waterfront ave, marami na hotels like legenda... then magdrive na lang kayo papunta sa mga beaches... kaso di ko nirerecommend ang mga beach dun. kung gusto nyo ng mura hotel, mag stay na lang kayo ng board walk inn, around 1400pesos yata yun.. legenda naman around 3thou... kung gusto nyo ng first class, mag cruise na lang kayo papunta grande island sa may harap ng legenda... medyo white beach pa dun, and island sya

Will be in Subic this Saturday and Sunday. Duon kami sa Subic Yacht Club mag-stay.

If you have the budget... Legenda is the way to go... ganda ng amenities.

Usually sa Subic Int'l lang kami nag stay... military style amentities nga lang. Hehe.

Then you can just road around Subic... daming pwedeng gawin... kung beach marami sa bandang airport. May karting rin dun pero ang panget naman ng mga karts! Maganda yung jungle trekking.

tama si pinay tsaka si mazda.... grande island is the best..... medyo pricey nga lang sya, pero ganda ng amenities and facilities.

ok din yung legenda. fronting the waters sya.
international (i agree too with mazda) is too boring...

teka.. buhay pa ba yung go-karting dyan? tsaka ina-allow ba nila 6 year old kid to use the go-karts? plano ko kasi dalahin yung anak ko dyan before xmas eh.

we had a great time spending the long vacation in subic...

we stayed in binictican heights, we rented a house from sat to monda.
sobrang dami naming nagawa... as in..
nagswimming kami sa pool lang sa may brent international school kasi malapit dun yung bahay na narent namin.

first day namin wala kami ganu nagawa kasi medyo napagod and hapon na kami dumating doon. so kumain nalang kami nug early dinner late lunch.

the next day we swimming, tapos nagpunta kami ng bataan sa may balanga para mag target shooting. iba ang feeeling hehe then dinner at the magic lagoon just beside the go kart.

next day we went on go karting, went to el kabayo waterfalls, zoobic, and ocean adventure. tapos punta naman ng boardwalk para sa para sailing and banana boat. sarap...

may nakita pa kaming warship ng us navy unloading its 2 amphibians hehe lufet...

mugen, magkano ang rent nyo doon sa bahay? plano ko rin dalhin family ko + inlaws, i think mas tipid kapag sa bahay/cottage stay instead sa mga hotels.

also, mga magkano kayang Unleaded gas ang magagastos?

been to grande island. mejo maliit yung beach area pero ok na ok yung villas nila. pag gising mo, dagat makita mo. meron pa kami butler (asungot hehehe).

nway, don't know the rate right now pero nung kami mejo mahal nga kahit na ndi pa masyado tapos yung construction. it's been 2 yrs na kaya siguro mas ok na facilities.

solar powered ata mag villas na na stayan namin.

For those who have any ideas for an overnight stay in or near Subic, please post your suggestions.

I will be with my girlfriend and on a budget sana, rates around 2.5k is fine for me pero better kung may lower pa pero nice place to stay ofcourse.

if you like to stay in a resort with a beach you can swim in just stay in one of the resorts in barreto. with your budget i would suggest playa papagayo, mirage or arizona..

if you want to stay inside the former base, you can stay in one of those resort/hotels near the board walk. lighthouse and marina are good places but are pricey. subic park hotel or bayfront hotel are more affordable. it will be nice to stay in these places if you plan to go on a gimmick in the evening.

since overnight lang kayo, I think it's better na mag hotel na lang kayo..I'm just not sure kung ok pa rin ang Legenda...'coz it's been a while since I stayed there....

subic ang init dyan i always stay once a year sa binakayan rest house grabe sobra init pag-summer mas mainit pa sa metro considering hindi naman masikip sa subic

ngaun ka parang tinatamad na ako eh wala naman nakikita kungdi old duty free shops na meron na din naman din mga products dito

tingin ko lang talaga maganda mag-business dyan kasi mas accessible na port area yan kaysa batangas

Kung Hotel and Resort,- there is Camayan Beach, beside Ocean Adventure Park. Okay na rin ang beach diyan.... Malayo nga lang iyan sa mga gimikan sa city.... If you want na malapit sa city/baywalk kung saan nandoon ang mga restaurants, I suggest you stay sa Subic International Hotel....
