Supreme Court spokesman rants on Twitter vs traffic jams caused INC medical missions

MANILA – Supreme Court spokesman Ted Te lambasted Interior and Local Government Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas II, Metro Manila Development Authority Chairman Francis Tolentino, Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, and Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno for the traffic jams caused by the Iglesia ni Cristo medical missions.

Te stressed that he used his personal Twitter account to rant against the public officials responsible for managing traffic in the metropolis.

“Someone allowed this to happen, right? The mayor of Manila? The department of the interior? The head of MMDA? So far no one has man'd up,” according to one of his tweets.

“The voluble turn mute. I'm still waiting for an explanation from Estrada, Moreno, Roxas, and Tolentino. Pls include a LOGICAL reason,” he tweeted.

“May permit ba to? Isn't this a public assembly in non-freedom parks? See BP 880,” he said citing Batas Pambansa (National Law) 880 on public assembly.

He noted that the traffic situation should not be very bad very early in the morning.

“Traffic along espana this early caused by buses and jeeps of this favored sect,” he tweeted several minutes before 7 a.m.

“It’s been an hour. I should already be at the office. Instead I'm at a parking lot-involuntarily. *MMDA*iskomoreno,” he said.

“Two lanes of espana being occupied now as PARKING by off route jeeps! *MMDA,” he added.

But the Supreme Court spokesman, who appeared to be stuck on Espana going to his office on Padre Faura in Manila City, did not completely lose his humor.

“Define irony. Ranting about the mayor and vice mayor of Manila on free wifi bearing their names,” he said.

Te tagged the MMDA about the uselessness of their actions.

    “*MMDA

“It makes no sense to give a route as an alternate when you allow the sect to also use the same route. E.g., espana to Lacson *mmda,” he tweeted.

    Te also made some suggestions.

“Espana and peripheral roads are being used as a parking area. Maybe the traffic czar of Manila ought to come and see for himself. *mmda,” he said.

“Perhaps the chartered buses and jeeps should have been allowed in during off peak hours like 2 AM? And aren't these jeeps off route?*mmda,” he added.

Exactly... this screams"Political exercise" all over. Medical mission? Any right-thinking mind can arrange for that to be done at some place that would affect the general public less if it was properly thought out. They have big, open places such as Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Memorial Stadium (buhay pa ba ito?), bahay ni Shadow, etc..

In its true essence, medical missions are supposed to be conducted in the far flung provinces, where access to even the most basic medical aid is limited, or none existent.

    Sabotage ang tawag ko dito.

I was'nt affected by what they did, but who ever thunk of the idea must've had the thinking one chromosome short of being a sweet potato (Camote).

    INC = Iglesia Ni Camote.

This is typical of INC's so called evangelical missions events. They held one in Sta Rosa 3 months ago and all the buses parked were parked on the national hwy causing massive traffic jams.

This is a yearly event, sana lang ang trapik na dinulot nila eh sinadya meaning sign of force. At hindi dahil sa katangahan ng organizer nito.
