Memo from Philippine Embassy in Singapore

    a. As a mitigating action to stop human trafficking, the Gov't would require all un-employed tourist going to Singapore to have a sponsor. The sponsor, who should be at Singapore, should apply for an affidavit of being a sponsor from the Embassy. This will cost $S50. This document would need to be
    submitted to DSWD in Philippines.

    ---

Disagree ako dito. Anti-poor measure na naman to. What do you think?...
At isa pa, bakit Singapore lang?.. Para sa akin pangongotong lang itong ginagawa ng gobyerno...tsk..tsk...tsk...

    Hmm clarification lang.

This "rule" in mandated by the Phil Gov't tama ba?

Parang quicky pangungurakot by the gov't to take advantage of the number of tourists going to Sing due to cheap airfares.

So in short, pwede padin mag human trafiking basta magbayad muna ng S$50

what if you're a tourist na mag-che-check-in lang sa isang hotel sa singapore. wala kang friend or relative sa singapore. sino ino-nominate mong sponsor? ang labo naman nito. malinaw na malinaw na gusto lang pagkakitaan ng gobyerno. hay naku...
