if the rumor is true, that uber earns 5M a day, then that one month suspension should be worth at least 150M in fine. their offer of 10M is below chickenfeed.

I'm not complaining though

hindi ba sila joint operation ng LGU, MMDA at LTFRB? well, nasurprise ako sa naging action ng MMDA and caught off guard ang bus companies and commuters nito. ang tanong lang, saan pupunta yung mga bus ng bus companies na kung saan yung mga terminal nila sa EDSA cubao ay sarado na?

yung isang bus company that I oftentimes go whenever I will travel to my hometown, I think compliant sila sa nose-in-nose-out policy, but I still wonder bakit pa rin sila isinara?

----I'm thinking sa Marikina ang bagsak nila, but it's quite far----

back sa Uber and the TNCs saga.. parang mali yung nilabas na memo ng LTFRB regarding Uber drivers na i-accomodate sila ng Grab..wth. eh di ba sila na mismo ang nagsabi na bawal muna mag-accept ng drivers for Grab and Uber, then this new memo came out?

    "Isumbong niyo kay Deakin!"

Just got off the phone with Grab. Brought up the whole issue of drivers refusing rides or jacking up prices.

Here's what they did. They suspended 481 drivers who had an acceptance rate of less than 70%. They banned another bunch (he didn't have the exact number on hand) that fell below 30% acceptance rate. And every driver got a warning saying they will get stricter and stricter with acceptance rates and will start rewarding drivers who have a 95% acceptance rate and above. They also tweaked the algorithm to lower the trigger number of the surge and capped it at 1.4x. So if still you have issues, use the app to report. They are keeping an eye on it and hopefully we can weed out the unscrupulous ones from the platform.

Just thought many of you would like to know that. I'll post more when I know more.

^ wala ako nakitang rep ng ltfrb sa newscast. Parang lgu lang at mmda

Sa south meron naman bus station na supposedly doon sakayan at babaan. Iyong along macapagl ave. Just not sure if all buses fr the south use it.

Sa north meron na ba? Hindi ata counted iyong sa araneta.since along edsa pa din. Tapos family pa ni mar roxas may ari niyan kaya hindi yan payagan ni duts panigurado hehe

Gusto siguro mangyari iyong 1 bus station for all provincial buses tulad sa davao city. Medyo dito sa mla iba lang kasi may common stations para sa north and south supposedly

Btt: i tried the micab app and arcade city app last night pero ayaw download. Hindi naman ata gumagana. Puro batikos lang iyong mga nasa review

Ride Arcade City at your own risk... If something happens to you, di ka sasagutin ng insurance or tutulungin ng goverment agencies...

Uber Alternative Arcade City Fights Regulation in Philippines and Austin

Its app, for example, doesn’t have a “request ride” button like most other ride-hailing apps. Instead, it shows a map of available drivers in your area and gives you an option to open a chat with them to discuss details of pick up and drop off. Drivers set their own rates, and it’s largely up to them to develop a connection with riders for repeat business.

The same day we announced our expansion into the Philippines, the Land Transportation Franchising & Regulatory Board (LTFRB) issued a press release ordering Arcade City to cease operations in the Philippines.

We responded today that Arcade City does not meet their definition of a transportation network company and that we will continue operations. We will be happy to work with the Philippines government to update their laws to reflect newer business models like Arcade City.

Our immediate focus is creating a community in the Philippines that can support each other while the government figures out how it wants to deal with this new model of rideshare company. Just like governments around the world have updated their taxi-friendly laws to accommodate Uber-style companies over the last few years, we are confident that governments will similarly revise their laws to accommodate the decentralized marketplaces of the future.
