Have not been there, but have heard a lot of good things from a couple of our friends(US Military) who have been there... Incirlik...

Ingat ka riyan,- remember "Midnight Express"???....

    And lately,- Taken2....

Istanbul should be a wealth of a sightseeing tour.... Muslim mosques; they used to be Catholic churches.....

In the end of our trip sardinas at cup noodles na lang kinain ko (may dala ako)

Got to ride hotair balloon pala

Interested in doing a tour of Istanbul also because its where Asia and Europe practically meet. Kaya lang, parang purely cultural at wala masyadong night destinations.

Again, kuwento lang sa akin,- try their public bath (all men naman)...

Tapos scenic daw ang drive along the Mediterranean Sea.... Plus maganda raw mag mountain climbing (somewhere,- am not sure)

Si bro.Jun Aka Pekto,- he has good things to say about Turkey....

Remember,- Roman/Byzantine Empire (Constantinople-old name) >> Ottoman Empire (Istanbul - new name) iyan,- kaya very historical, for those who appreciate its legacy....

Bro,- iyong Midnight Express(classic) at Taken2(recent),- parehong movies iyan na ang location ay Turkey...

Check out Cosmos Tours. A comparable tour is around US$950 excluding airfare. This is a coach tour with stays in 3 star hotels.

Cosmos is the cheaper version of Globus with stays at 4 star hotels close to downtown.

Bro what I was saying was iyong $4k sa internet for two weeks visiting 4 to 5 Eu countries, and what was being offered to you was $1.8k for one week in Turkey and so it seems that the former if a better deal...

Also, my in laws went for a religious tour for two weeks visiting five countries about three years ago... $3k ang package all in....

We visited Turkey years ago. Antalya was great with the Mediterranean right there (same with Izmir). Antakya was okay. It has a number of mountain resorts.

If I can vacation in Turkey again, I'd go to Antalya and stay there for the whole vacation. Wife n kids loved it there.

We stayed at the Pine Beach Resort:

OT lang. handful lang daw ang palitan ng USD to Turkish Lira dito sa atin sabi ng travel agency ko. mayron ba tayong mai-recommend na money changer o bangko kung saan mataas ang palitan nila? kung meron anong money changer ito at saan? di kaya mas better rate magpapalit sa Turkey kapag andun na lang kami?
