My parents has just been denied sa US embassy kahapon pareho na silang senior citizen, 3 mins lang naging tanungan pero denied sila ni hindi man lang tinignan yung mga papers na dala nila, they were shock hindi na nila naitanong kung bakit sila na denied naawa tuloy ako sa parents ko dahil dadalawin lang naman nila sister ko na andun tsaka yung ibang mga pamangkin nila, parang ang dating is they cannot afford to stay there kasi sinabi yata nila na kapatid ko gagastos sa trip, baka may tip kayo para sa next interview nila maapprove na,
di naman kami mayaman pero i think we can afford naman na mamasyal dun ang parents namin as they are both pensioners with a little money in the bank some farms and apartments

    thanks in advance

naka abroad na ba sila? or meron bang pending petition for them galing sa sister mo? lano status ng sister mo?

My parents (both senior citizens) and I got ten year US visas when we went to the US embassy two years ago. The consul just asked a few questions, which part of the US we were going, was I going with them (yes, they need someone to carry their heavy luggage)... etc. Five minutes and US visa approved. He didn't even look at our financial documents etc.

The US embassy ASSUMES na you will not come back and you have to prove otherwise.

Baka puwede din padala ng malaking datung si banker at i deposito sa pangalan ng folks mo FOR A WHILE then re-apply and sabihing sila magbabayad at "ayan o may datung na akong sarili."

Expect to see more situations like this one. US Immigration tend to be tighter when the Democrats are in power.

During Clinton's eight years in office, none of my wife's relatives were approved to immigrate out and tourist visas were routinely denied. All that changed during Bush Jr's eight years.

Now, almost all of my wife's relatives who were denied before plus some I didn't expect to be approved are now here. Surprised the heck out of me.

I'm not sure why. But, Republicans tend to favor Pinoys when it came to immigration. My mother in law had an easy time. My wife said the consul didn't even bother asking her questions. He had a big smile when he gave her the finished paperwork. She's been living here with us for four years now.
