Got back from Cebu recently. Di ko naman na experience yung sinabi ng TS, pero halos lahat ng taxi na nakaabang dun sa NAIA-1 departure nangongontrata -- something like 350 - 400 from NAIA to Vito Cruz.

Nagpatawag ako ng taxi sa security guard, akala ko makaiwas na ako sa nangongontrata. i realized too late that the taxi had its meter off, kaya ayun, nangontrata din. Since i had over 30 kilos of baggage e pumayag na lang ako.

Contrast this with the setup at NAIA-3; a while ago we had to take a cab home since we couldn't fit in our sundo's car. Bandang Dec. 30 or 31 pa nun, nagpunta kami dun sa metered taxi terminal na me +70 pesos flagdown. No muss, no fuss. Sana ganun din sa NAIA-1 but i seriously, seriously doubt it for some reason.

Someone told me that the reason for the different rate of the yellow airport taxicabs is that they cannot get passengers outside of the airport. So, after bringing their passenger to their destination, return to airport terminal sila.

Lame reason, IMHO.

I regularly fly and the same operators are in all the 3 terminals. You have the coupon taxi cabs which are fixed rate and are computed by the area one is heading to. The yellow taxi cabs are the ones who have metres that run really fast. The white unmarked cars charge the most and they are the most aggressive as they push their services as soon as you come out. I believe these guys have the strongest backers. I take the coupon taxis since they charge a fixed rate and you're made aware of the price before you et in their taxi cabs. The yellow metred taxis and the white unmarked taxis are unscrupulous. I hope they get kicked out of the airport.

We tried taking those coupon taxi cabs way way back. Not really sure how they computed the fare but apparently it costs around Php420++ from NAIA-2 to La Salle. Lumagpas daw sa border or something. Mind you this was a long time ago, baka nasa 600 na ngayon.

It might be a good idea to just walk out of NAIA and get a taxi...kaso pag nakitang madami kang bagahe e gaganchuhin ka rin.

i still think yung metered taxi w/ 70-peso flagdown is still the best deal. Kaso yung nga, di lahat ng terminals meron. Pwede rin siguro tumawag ng taxi, then meet na lang outside, pero hassle na especially if you have 30+kilos baggage

What I do before is hop on a white taxi just to go to MOA and from there take another cab to my destination. That way, I don't pay as much kahit pa sabihin ng driver kontrata.

Eh andami ko dala no choice but to give in sa kontrata.

Yung airport taxi naman sinundo ko yung pinsan ko tapos derecho siya pa-mindoro the white airport taxi charged him 3k(airport to batangas pier) then sagot niya toll.

My niece coming from Butuan navictimized ng Taxi sa NAIA3.

Didn't take long for the LTFRB to experience it first hand... tapos nahuli pa ung broadcast ng mga ogags warning about the LTFRB operations.

Even if the increased taxi rates are implemented. These greedy vultures will still be resorting to kontrata at an even higher rate.

kahit tumaas pasahe they will still find reasons para makapan loko ng commuter.

mataas pamasahe humina kita so kelangan gumawa ng magic.

LTFRB really wanted to catch kontrata so they went to the place na sigurado may nangongontrata -- the airport

    100% may mahuhuli sila

sasabihin ng driver P300 imbes na using the meter
