How can I squeeze a 4-week summer vacation for my Pamangkin? TULONG!

A nephew and 2 nieces would be coming from the States for their summer vacation on the first week of July. I'm tasked to give them a grand time for their stay here. Kailangan ko ng tulong nyo mga fellow tsikoteers kung paano ko gagawin ito. Gusto kasi ng Dad nila na ma-enganyo ko ang mga bata sa ganda (???) ng Pinas, since uuwi na ang mga magulang nila dito for good. Medyo hirap ako magdecide sa sarili ko dahil sa totoo lang, halos lahat ng napuntahan ko na dito sa Pinas ay lagi na lang akong disappointed, sobrang backward ang tourism industry natin. Syempre di ko naman pwedeng sabihin sa kapatid ko ito dahil gusto nya e ma-enganyo ko rin ang mga bata na mag-stay na lang din dito. Hirap ng kalagayan ko.

Meron akong isang naiisip na gawin na pwedeng magbukas sa isip ng mga bata, yong GAWAD KALINGA projects. Mag-donate siguro kami ng isang cluster then pagagawin ko ang mga bata doon. Pero syempre kailangan din ng relaxation nila. So saan ko sila dadalhin? Tulong naman dyan, kung paano ko squeeze ang 4 weeks for this task. Thanks in advance.

pag nga pala naayos ko na ang donation namin sa Gawad Kalinga, sana e hingi ako ng tulong dito sa mga fellow tsikoteers na mag-volunteer para sa pag-build ng mga bahay... tagapala, taga-pukpok, taga-pintura, etc. it would be a nice and worthwhile EB for all of us... ano po sa palagay nyo?

imho sa edad ng mga pamangkin mo mahirap na maimpluwensyahan yan. kahit gaano pa kaganda mapuntahan ninyo mga lugar,ka-meaningful mga activities, isip kasi nila, vacation lang talaga ang sadya nila dito at natural mamamasyal,palipas oras. after a month ay matapos na din at balik sa amerika ulit.

imho, new friends here wont hurt. bf/gf possibly ;-) yun, ma attach talaga sila dito, hehe.

ok yun sa gawad kalinga, you have lotsa time to spend naman pero it would be a lot easier to do this= talk with the head of elsie gaches or hospicio de san jose(yun sa may ayala bridge), then tell your niece n nephew that they will need to cook the food, prepare a program for them half day would do, like after lunch you go there and have snacks with them, buffet style, easier if you have a caterer or mcdo or jollibee, tell your pamangking to prepare a program like a song or dance number.

you can do a road trip as well going to vigan all the way up to pagudpod, ok yun place dun sa san manuel(im not sure) basta it looks like a jedi place mala star wars ang dating, road trip mas ok para youll eat up time, para di ma bored stop over kayo on various places, pwede kayo mag lunch or dinner and you could rest at fort ilocandia, let them see the spanish ruin=) ok sa vigan very interesting.

arrange a trip to boracay, if they like beach boracay is the place to go=) you could also take them to palawan, do snokling and island hopping, you could also mountain climb.

you could also do a nature trek with them to mt pinatubo, or mt pulag (ok dito, your above the clouds)

ok din sa cagayan de oro me water rapids, and madami na pwede gawin dun=)

ok din sa camarines sur, meron sila man made lake which houses wake boarding( i was able to catch this at spaorts unlimited last saturday) the asa camarines sur na kayo proceed to sorsogon and you could swim with the butanding (whale shark), they feed on plants so di sila nangangain.

pwede din iloilo, bohol, bacolod daming pwedeng gawin dito, see the tarsier sa bahol and dolphin watching, and the church made out of egg white sa iloilo.

you can go to a travel agency and arrange them for you para less hassle, basta money is not a problem ok yun=)

4 weeks is kind of long. I think you'd have time to do pretty much anything though. I was born in Cavite, left when I was 2, grew up in the states, then came back in 2004, n im living here now. When I'd come back here for vacation, it was usually only 1-2weeks. N that was enough time..or so it seemed to do everything.

Suggestions: Tagaytay, of course the MOA, zoobic sounds pretty cool, the bay walk would be nice to go to as well at night since the live bands are great there, if they understand tagalog..take them to a Gay Comedy bar in Malate, or the one along the alabang/zapote is nice: Sitcom, ..surely nobody goes to those kind of bars in the states unless they are gay.. only in the Philippines.

Not sure if the PBA will still be going on in July, PBA games are pretty exciting when wathed live, also very cheap. VIP seating is about 300something pesos at the Cuneta astrodome, and they usually have 2games in a row. Take those kids drinking, introduce them to Red Horse, Johnny Walker, Emperador..San Mig. Starcity or Enchanted is ok, kaso, the weather in July is unpredictable. At the Island Cove in Cavite, you can do some bamboo fishing. N it seems all balikbayans are going to Wowowee heheh.

Oo nga e, ito ang isang problema ko, masyadong pabago bago ang panahon pag July. Kaya parang ang hirap mag-beach, di ko ma-imagine na nasa beach ng sobrang lakas ng ulan. Pag July ba, okay lang ang Boracay? Palawan?
