question for frequent flyers of Singapore airlines:

1.0 tutuo pa ba ang 20kg limit for check in or my consideration pa rin sila? like +2 kilos max libre .
2.0 how do the 7kilos hand carry take effect? ang alam ko kasi ever since i ride SQ hinde sila masyadong strict dito. sometimes my hand luggage is more than 7 kilos plus i have a laptop bag pa which all in all more than 7 kilos.

I wonder why people do not simply use GOOGLE to find information on the web? You could have gotten your information much sooner...

    :google::soon:

    Check in Baggage:

    Carry-on items:

Thanks a lot sir for sharing this link, i already saw this earlier , the problem is hinde consistent ang sagot ng customer service nila like:

    Articles allowed on-board

All airline members of the International Air transport Association (IATA) have agreed to observe the following baggage regulations. You may carry on board the articles listed below free of charge over and above your free baggage allowance:
    • A lady’s handbag
    • An overcoat
    • An umbrella or walking stick
    • A laptop or notebook computer
    • A small camera
    • A reasonable amount of reading material for the flight
    • Infant’s food for consumption in flight and infant’s carrying basket
    • A pair of crutches and/or other prosthetic devices for the passenger’s use provided the passenger is dependent upon them

sabi ng customer service, hand carry luggage plus laptop should be within the 7kg limit. so hinde sila consistent thats why im asking here kung sino nakaka experience. thanks for the reply.

In my experience with SQ and other airlines inline with hand carry bags, usually the laptop is NOT included in the weight limit (includes US destinations, HK, SG, Australia and western Europe). So for those with in-cabin trolly style bags, it's best to separate your laptop (especially for those with big screens) from the trolly bag if your trolly bag is packing heavy stuff inside so the airport/airline staff will not see you struggling with it.

Even at the security check after the check-in, it's best to have your laptop outside your trolly bag because it's sure to be asked to be opened anyway. And keep your laptop in hibernate mode so if the security staff asks you to turn it on, it will be faster than if it's a full shut down.

thanks for sharing your experience guys. ganito din kasi ang pagkaka alam ko. siguro they have different policy for budget flights where they sum up all the weight of your hand carry luggage plus laptop etc. huling alis ko kasi last year pa ng march kaya naguluhan ako sa na kuwento ng friend ko. maraming salamat ulit

My experience Kung frequent flyer Gold card holder ka maske 11Kg pa hand carry they consider.

Singapore airlines baggage limit for hand carry??
