Who's been to the Shanghai Expo already?
Any tips?
Will be there 2nd week of October.

September 9th, 2010 04:40 PM #6My friend works in the Philippine Pavilion there.
I went there last summer for vacation.
You MUST try out the middle eastern pavillion (UAE and Saudi Arabia) they're epic inside.
Make sure you have at least a week (and lots of stamina) to go around, the place is huge.
Be prepared to push around and box out the locals in the lines, they don't have the concept of respecting the lines yet (think of an army of ants).
Also there is a fast train (bullet train) that links shanghai to hangzou (less than 2 hours travel time. Hangzou is also worth the visit (visit the lakes and the city center

September 9th, 2010 04:42 PM #7also, my tips for pavillion with ultra long lines during the day, wait till about 8pm the lines will be very less. (i was in line for 4 hours for the UAE pavillion during the day after 8 it only took me 30 mins to go in it again)
