    cheers!

2,500 ang room with aircon and cable T.V. kapag weekday 1,500 daw sabi nung receptionist. Di maganda 'yung water supply nila, may kalawang. Sa VM or sa White Beach resort 3,000(from previous post), I think they have good/better water supply.

Anyway, as of my last trip, ito roughly ginastos namin (April 2-4, 2005):
143 per person na bus fare from Cubao to Batangas Pier
200 (4 na kami sa 200 - one way) boat ride from Muelle to Big La Laguna
1500 per night (good for two) na superp room sa Big La Laguna (beach front, pag labas mo ng door beach na kaagad, da best ito talaga!)
1500 na boat for the entire day (morning to 5pm lang... iba na rate sa gabi)

Pwede kayo mag baon like we did.

Looks like, it's cheaper to stay in Big La Laguna than White Beach.

eojlin, What resort has that rate(1,500)? is there a cable t.v. and aircon? okay/clear ba ang water supply nila for shower?

We took a peek at Big Lalaguna, we rode a trike(100 pesos) from white beach to some place where there are jeeps(15/head) going to Sabang and then from Sabang, we walked along the beach to Big Lalaguna. At the end of Big Lalaguna(or is it not yet the end) there was like this big rock(there's a steep man-made stairs) where you would have to climb and cross. We didn't cross as my knee(severe ACL tear) might give up on me. Now, I'm left wondering what's on the other side of that big rock. Is it the Small Lalaguna or still Big Lalaguna? Anyone knows?

If you are coming from the Sabang area....the first cove you see is what locals call Small Lalaguna. After climbing the steep rock formations is the Big Lalaguna. The sand in Big Lalaguna is whiter and fine compared to Small Lalaguna cove.

    EOJLIN,
Saan kayo nag stay sa Big Lalaguna?

    Glenn,
You can get a 3 star hotel in Small & Big Lalaguna for P2,000. Inclusive of breakfast, use of swimming pools, aircon, cable tv and toiletries.

Glenn, Cataquis Lodge yung pinuntahan namin.

Piliin nyo yung Room 17 or Room 18, kasi beach front yan. May aircon and malinis yung room and bathroom. Wala lang hot water and cable tv. My girl and i figured na hindi namin kelangan ng tv. Btw, you just have to buy your own water for drinking, kasi medyo tubig probinsya yung tubig nila.

Also, you can take a boat from Muelle to Big La Laguna, you don't have to pass by Sabang and Small La Laguna.

    * mikaztro... Sa Cataquis Lodge kami, room 17 and 18 kami dati. It may not be as good as those 3-star accomodations though. However, it's the best room location we found in all beaches that we've visited in Galera. Basta Room 17 or 18. Solo namin yung beach front sa gabi for some booze drinking and long night chats.

fyi: called up resorts at white beach..price range for the summer aircon room is P1500-2500 aircon room. Sad to say, most don't allow early reservations. So hanap na lang on April 15 (with the helps of the Manangs at White beach)

    av8or5,

    Actually you can reserve, try(freelance):

(0918) 520-7586 - Edna (she reserved us a room at white beach nipa hut)
    (0916) 365-6247 - Fred (haven't tried)

Also, most f the resorts would actually require you to deposit (to their account) half of the bill you would have to pay for the reservation you like. You can find a few nos. at puertogalera.net.

Oh no!!! I thought that was Big Lalaguna!!! Then that means we missed to see Big Lalaguna! too bad Now, I would like to go back!

Mikaztro, that's right, mas mahal nga sa white beach dahil sobrang dami ng tao, ang taas ng room rates. I agree, they don't have a standard rate.

    Pissword,

I'm sure you will enjoy Small Lalaguna's Club Mabuhay more than White beach. They have 2 swimming pools, big bar and resto and lots of foreign guests. White beach kasi masyado madami tao unless iyon ang pinunta mo...to check out chix. Hehehe
You can swim there and you can go snorkeling. Sa white beach eh swimming, sand frolicking and local chick hunting. Kasi sa Big and Small eh pang foreigners. Hehehe
Ive been and stayed at White beach, Muelle, Bukete, Sabang, Big and Small Lalaguna...but for me...the Lalaguna coves are the best. No doubt about it. Take my word for it.

The beach front width of Small Lalaguna is quite long and stretches from the stairway rock formation to as far as sabang. The depth of the beach front is quite narrow around +/- 20 meters only depends on the tide. Snorkeling spots are best in Big Lalaguna--10 min walk from Small Lalaguna's Club Mabuhay. You can also go snorkeling in Small Lalaguna but the corals there are dead na.

That's okay to do(no reservation) during off-peak season. I've been there for three times without any reservations. The first two was pretty easy as it was off-peak. The third was a little hard as that was in early May, so before I went there last week, I asked around, and found out that there's a lot of bakasyonistas(see the picture I posted) at about this time of the year(I guess galera, white beach in particular, is starting to be a very popular summer destination). Two of my co-workers stayed in a residential area, no air-con, no t.v. for failing to make a reservation (I didn't want to experience that). If your planning to go there within the month, you better try to text/call the no. I posted, they don't charge you anything( I think the resort gives them some commission). Another option, leave Manila at about 2 am, you'll arrive there around 6am and there will be more rooms available. BTW, if you're okay with the residential area then of course you can do it the traditional way, no reservations necessary. Hope you enjoy your vacation.

Sa big and small lalaguna what is the beach coral rocks or sand or combination? kasi kung coral sugat ang paa mo at you need to invest in coral boots to swim there.
