my friend contacted the admin ng forest hills...pero that was last week pa....and we got a sched for this weekend Mar27-28....i won't be surprise if its fully booked na sa holyweek sir. anyway crown peak should be good enough na rin naman....tingnan ku lahat ng place to visit there....and update you sa sunday pm.
Staying in Crown Peak or Lagenda is okay rin naman. Meron din silang pool for kids and adults. Forest hills was really very far off place pala. Just make sure you follow strictly the STOP signs inside SBMA, marami sa Argonaut Road (road going to your hotel). All the hotels there had a different rate on weekends and holidays, almost 2x minsan.
We went to Ocean Aventure P400 adult, P320 children/senior citizen. Here is the show sched:
10:15am dive encounter
10:30am sea lion show
11:00am sea lion photo session
11:15am whale encounter/wade with our whale
12:30pm whale show
1:45pm sea lion show
2:15pm sea lion photo session
2:30pm whale encounter/wade with our whale
3:30pm sea lion painting
4:00pm whale show
5:00pm sea lion show
It would be a good idea to go there early. May canteen naman sila duon for food or snacks.
The beach nearby ocean aventure (miracle beach) is cheap but medyo hindi ganun ka ok compared to the one at the end of the airport run way....on the airport runway road meron pang 2 other beaches but hindi na namin pinuntahan.
The Beach that we went to is the one at the end of the runway (I forgot the name) cost P100/adult, P50/child sa entrance, hut/table is P250. Almost less than half ito pag weekdays.
We went to the JEST Camp (Jungle Environment Survival Training)...meron silang mini zoo with deer, wild pig, insectarium (butterfly garden) and lots of birds (hawk, parrots, eagles etc). May canteen but food is not good. May demo din ng survival ek-ek using bamboo to survive in a jungle. Cost P100/person (children same rate).
Bat kingdom is near the crown peak hotel but it seems close (we didn't ask).
Through the courtesy of a friend, we also went to the yatch club....their swimming pool is much, much better...specially for the kids. Its free if you have a sponsor....except for food and towel (its P150 if you borrow from them). Weekday rates nila is US$40 (sunday to thursday night) and US$80 if weekends (friday and saturday night). Catch lang is that dapat may nag-endorse sa iyo na member (they give you an endorsement card) to be there.
May go-kart track sa tapat ng yatch club (but I didn't check the rates). Track is bigger than the one in tarlac.
Grande Island beach (you'll take a ferryboat pa) is P500 per person (I don't know if kids may discount) includes the ferry cost. Di pa gaano tapos daw and the food area is very far from the beach area...comment ng friend ko na pumunta.
Meron din mini-golf course sa malapit sa SBMA office. P5/person ang entrance, players P50/person. Same rate ang adults and kids.
Food area:
Wimpy's burger (tabi ng Dunkin Donut - bus terminal ng SBMA) is cheaper a bit than fast food (service is slow because they cook upon order) serving is okay enough.
Meron din Chowking. Meron din daw Gerry's Grill (pero di ko nakita ito) inside the SBMA.
Outside the gate (olangapo gate - near Wimpy's) is olangapo town proper....meron Jolibee and Max. Hindi na ako nagikot ng olangapo city.
Be there early to enjoy it. I took the Angeles-Porac-Florida Blanca road so it was not trafic all the way to Dinalupihan (about an hour drive lang ang Angeles to Subic tollway entrance). Maalikabok lang ang lahar road ng Porac.
Agree ako kay wildthing,
Wimpy's burger sarap sarap doon and mura sobra. pag Lunch Wimpy's then pag dinner Max's. Hehehe nasa newspaper Branch of the Year ang MAx's Olongapo. Very good service and food.
bakit ang mura ng rates sa SBYC. last time nagcheck in kami doon weekdays nasa $80?
SBYC publish rate ang $80...me 50% discount ang weekdays daw...but I'm not sure up to when ....
Pahabol...merun day Subic International Raceway... but I don't know where it is located.
Yung monkeys that standby in the afternoon around the road to Crownpeak/Legenda or to Ocean Adventures are professional beggars na...you'd be amaze how they eat the food you give 'em...I passed them some oreo's and one of them split it opened first and ate the palaman muna....kulang nalang manghingi pa ng milk at isawsaw dun.
FYI lang, nahuli ako kanina speeding, but napakiusapan naman. meron bagong toys ang pulis dito speed guns. dati props lang yung speed monitored by radar. nasa may tapat sila ng yatch club. kaya kung galing ka manila going to yatch club. ingat po. 60kph daw ang speed limit. but siempre since galing sa subic expressway medyo mabilis ka pa. after the bridge going to yatch club. theres a downward slope kaya bibilis kapa. its a speed trap. no use running naka abang napulis napulis sa stoplight, mas humigpit pa ngayon trafffice rules.
just wanted you guys to know, new admin kasi dito ngayon. nakakasira pa naman ng araw mahuli.
last year pa sila may speed gun. nahuli din ako pero warning lang ang binigay. meron silang sinulat dun sa puting papel na parang gate pass. 60kph nga ang speed limit, pero allowed pa up to 70kph. 80kph ang takbo ko :D
grande island cost 500 per person ferry trip na yun, If i remember correctly leaves at 10am then balik ng 4pm. may mga restau na doon, and hotel if you want to stay overnight. no bringing of any food or drinks. :car:
just in case na you guys plan to go back to subic. pm me, i can suggest place to stay. mura ang for family. malapit lang sa mga tourist spot inside sbma.
