live each day in day tight compartments.
Maybe I'm in the minority here, but the problem I think is there are
are a few people who just can't help but to stick their noses in other
people’s business.
Speaking for myself,I dont make a whole bunch of money but I chose
to move out of my parent's house and buy a not so cheap car.
There are times when I feel so down or just plain lousy.I just get in my car ,
crank up the volume and drive around in circles and it will put a smile back in
my face because driving is like a meditation for me and this to me is something
that money can't buy.
Hey I only have one life to live ...even though I don't have millions & millions,
not even thousands & thousands of money in the bank,at least I'm gonna die
knowing that I had and done what I wanted .
missZ, im very HAPPY to have found this website as i find it very informative....threads/topics regarding cars, SUV's, jobs, work, income, what car you are driving, political and economic news, entertainment/showbiz chismis are all found in this website......heck, there is even a thread/topic regarding: getting a kiss on the first date and abortion.....Originally Posted by missZ
if you find this thread disturbing then i guess you dont have to post a reply more so, write criticisms regarding the original poster.....Tacoma has been in the US for a year and i guess he cant help but comment regarding the typical american way of life he has observed as compared to filipinos here.....this website was created to have a free-flowing exchange of ideas, not to criticize each other.....
the US has the lowest savings rate compared to other developed countries,
Its true that the average US household literally live from one paycheck to another......the average US household literally can not live on their savings apart from their home equity for more than 1 month.....in short: "Baon sa utang ang typical amerikano"
i have a fil-american friend who drives a mercedes SLK on a $15/hour wage and a relative who drives a BMW 3 series on a $13/hour wage......meron pa nga may utang na $190,000 (P10million) sa student loan but still bought a Audi TT...but then again, this phenomenon is NOT unique in the US, ang daming ganyan din dito sa manila....i have a friend here in manila who bought a brand new Nissan Patrol although all his life he has not saved enough money for a downpayment for his own house.....
on the other side, i have an acquiantance who make P200,000 a month but drives a 1985 car. He is so stingy and "kuripot" that he would not spend money to repair and properly maintain his car.....his family almost died when they crashed at EDSA because the steering and brakes of his 1985 car failed......believe it or not, "kuripot pa rin hanggang ngayon"
in the end, we ourselves decide what to buy with our hard-earned money.....this is an automobile website/forum....i would NOT be surprised to hear people prioritizing and spending more on their cars......"Basta huwag lang silang bumili ng mamahaling kotse gamit ang pondo ng gobyerno, ok na yun"![]()
The US consumerism is what drives the global economy.....without the US spending, the philippines could not have earned more than $14Billion in US export reciepts last year....there would not be jobs here and companies would not have paid taxes to local and national government if not for US consumerism.....
for this, we have to be thankful![]()
I never quoted anyone on this forum and this will be the first one. Hindi naman sya nag quote o nagbanggit ng name sa reply nya diba? so pano mo nasabi na he's criticizingg(sp/) the orig poster? there's a lot here sa US na mahilig mangeelam sa buhay ng ibang tao. some people just want to live like that so dapat pabayaan na lang natin sila na maging ganun kung maghirap sila problema nila yun..Originally Posted by moneywhiz
Iraq war has nothing to do with us we just want to dominate that country so that we can get oil for less. ang Primary target is si Osama and hindi ang Iraq pero san masmaraming troops?
sabi nya marami daw gustong umamoy ng halimuyak ng ibang taoOriginally Posted by moneywhiz

I don't understand why out of all the comments on this thread,
my post was the one that caught your eye.I encourage you to re read
them all so that you will see that the majority of us feel the same
way about this. It's people like YOU who try to stir things up.
Hey if they have the money to burn, why not! Who cares if they have to work
1,2 or sometimes 3 jobs.
I clearly stated "speaking for myself".I work my ass off and I just thinkOriginally Posted by missZ
and feel it's right to spend my hard earned money the way I wanna spend it.
Would I get pissed if people butt in and make comments about the way I
live my life ? Of course I would be .It's my money,I worked for it so butt off!
Would I judge these little kids working at Mc. Donald's making $8/hr and yet
they're driving M3s (Bimmer),Lexus,or a Kompressor? Of course not!
It's their life,what the f*ck do I care?
I could go on and on and on but hey I'm getting tired..this isn't even
about you & me.
Tell you what! this thread is giving me a headache and I'm not even making money
out of this.So maybe you were right! maybe I should've not posted on this thread
in the first place.
Did I make myself clear?...... Yes? GOOD!
But if I left some of your questions unanswered, too bad
because I would'nt be visiting this thread anymore!
peace, love & happiness!!!

ayaw kong mag english kasi pinoy naman tayo dito e.. pero kanya kanya lang diskarte yan e.. kung yung iba gustong gastusin ang pera nila for themselves hayaan natin sila tutal pera naman nila yun e and atleast they're enjoying the money that they earned. sabi nga ng iba aanhin mo ang pera mo kung patay ka na. you don't know kung kelan ka mamamatay. kahit sabihin mo na nasa kwarto ka nakahiga pagnapatakan ka ng ligaw na bala im sure tigok ka. kaya sa iba e ginagastos nila pera nila kasi dun sila nagiging masaya. Some people save lots of money kaya pagtanda nila hindi na nila alam kung ano gagawin nila sa pera nila. they didn't even enjoyed their money nung bata pa sila. kaya kahit ako at mga kapatid ko sinasabihan namin magulang namin na wag nilang tipirin sarili nila dahil hindi nman nila madadala sa hukay ang pera nila. If they want to take a vacation and spend all their money there then that's their choice kasi pera nila yun e.
ang bottom line is. gawin mo kung ano gusto mong gawin sa pera mo at gagawin nila ang gusto nilang gawin sa pera nila. If you don't want to spend your money then that's your choice. kung gusto mo ispend lahat ng pera mo at mangutang ka ng mangutang go ahead and do it buhay mo yan e gawin mo kung ano gusto mong gawin. ako hindi malaki sweldo ko but i buy what i want kasi pera ko naman yun e.
sorry naparami postko

bottom line is. pera nila yun e gawin nila kung ano gusto nilang gawin and buhay nila yun.. yung iba nga walang paipakain sa pamilya nila pero may pambili ng yosi. kanya kanya lang trip yan e.. pag hindi nasunod trip nila di bad trip na yun diba?
kaya nga siguro daming namamatay sa Iraq because they want to maintain this lifestyle.
.. america doesn't have a monopoly of mga pakitang tao .. they drive v8s with rising gas prices .. yung pinoys are toting expensive cellphones but only do text .. i'm sure if people here can afford cars instead of cellphones .. we would be driving v8s as well ...... but i understand your point ... parang warped priorities ... pero para sa iba naman, therapeutic ...
I know somebody who lives in Pomona installer lang siya ng telecom equipment and earning just $15 an hour pero naka Tahoe hehe.
This I agree. sometimes we know more about other people's personality/achievements/failure other than ourselves or even our loved ones.Maybe I'm in the minority here, but the problem I think is there are
are a few people who just can't help but to stick their noses in other

and that alone occupies a large chunk of our brain memory. purge this, and
start anew.
I watched a documentary before about a tourist who visited Russia shortly after the cold war. sabi niya: "Russia is literally a not so colorful country. There were no advertisements everywhere, in the streets, in the trains, in the terminals and even in the TV. It has a few but not worth remembering."
She also revealed that bec. of that situation, she felt really bored but experienced something different. Suddenly, she was not being too materialistic -> the mentality
that I must have this, I must wear that, I will look good in this, I can also look as
good as this model etc .... She had peace, inner that is ... for the entire moment she
stayed in Russia.
tacoma, when you say "citizen kasi", what does that mean? just curious
