Construction of NAIA Expressway to start in January, San Miguel Group says

MANILA - Construction of the toll way that will connect the three terminals of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) will start next year, according to an executive from San Miguel Corp (SMC).

"The government will deliver the right of way by November and then we will start by January next year, Raoul Eduardo C. Romulo, head of treasury services for the SMC infrastructure group told reporters.

A unit of SMC, Optimal Infrastructure Development Corp won the bidding for the P15.5 billion NAIA Expressway Project, the third of the public-private partnership (PPP) ventures of the Aquino administration.

Romulo said the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is committed to deliver the right of way on schedule.
"They have already substantially started the documentation and relocation of the informal settlers. They will meet the schedule," he added.

The government expects project completion by August 2015.

    At walang nanghuhuli!

    Onli in da Pilipins!
