EMPLOYEES can look forward to a long weekend next week after Malacañang declared December 24, Thursday, and December 27, Monday as special non-working days nationwide.

Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita said Proclamation No. 750 was issued "to afford our countrymen longer time to spend with their loved ones, to enable them to have a more meaningful observance of Christmas, and to give them greater opportunities to strengthen their ties with each other."

December 25 (Christmas Day), December 30 (Rizal Day), and January 1 (New Year's Day) are regular holidays, while December 31 is a special holiday.
