Hi,

could you guys suggest places to go, things to do in bangkok?
we'll be there for 4-5days.

places to go bargain shopping:

1) chatuchak weekend market
2) mbk (near the national stadium)
3) patpong
4) world trade center

places to see:

1) grand palace
2) wat po temple
3) floating market (if time permits)
4) pattaya (if time permits)

places to dine:

1) anna's cafe (soi saladaeng st. try their prawn cakes, it's the best!)
2) somboon seafood restaurant (chong non see rd.)
3) brew pavillion (ratchadapisek road)
4) various restaurants in and around world trade center

and don't forget to try the traditional thai massage. it's a must.

hbk: watch the go-go show! you've never been in bangkok if you didn't see that. watch all you want but don't touch!

anyways, we went to this park or something... galing ng mga shows (western / cowboy, james bond, monkey, dolphin, etc)... will post on monday the name... medyo malayo nga lang...

patpong is a bit overpriced though... even the westerners have learned to haggle... don't be afraid to haggle it to half the price...

Weekend market Ok din dami lang tao sobra.. kung daily market gusto mo yung mga Levis Bangkok pwede na Pratumam... sa baba lang ng Bayok Hotel.. parang baclaran to..

Wag ka sasakay ng TUK TUK... may mag o offer ng cheap fare tapos dalhin ka kung saan saan jewelry store may kimisyon sila pag may na bili ka.. kunsumisyon aabutin mo.. kaskasero pa mag drive..

HBK, kung kasama mo wife or GF mo, mag dinner kayo sa bayoke sky, the restaurant is located at the 79th floor overlooking bangkok, agahan mo lang para makuha mo yun table beside the window, buffet doon....after dinner you can go to the 82nd floor, revolving naman yun floor na yun......If i remember it right
450 bht/person ang price

After 8pm, go to NOVOTEL, merun disco house dun were Russian girls frequent....mga pick-up girls yun....the key word is:

"Are you working?"

Pagsumagot ng yes....presyo na pag-usapan ninyo....typical rate P1000 baht.... :devil:
