hi tsikoteers!!

anyone here that could recommend a good place in davao? saan pwede pumunta? contact nos. anu pwede itry? beach? etc etc..

I'll be going to davao on sept and wala pa ako preparations or whatsoever. tickets palang hehe. one week halos kami dun. and First time ko dun sa lugar na yun.

so any suggestions?

don't miss the the phil eagle reserve park and the nearby puente espina's flower farm - Calinan...usually a rent-a-taxi-for-the-whole-day is around P1000 na.

marami ng aircon taxis who do this

Do you eat durian? enjoy durian...else mangosteen na lang at pomelo kung ayaw mo ng durian.

Do you want to bring home frozen tuna etc...try CITRAMINA. Value for money ay sulit.

Foodtrip - I recommend DELONGTES - sa back side ng SM Davao - offers seafoods - ituro-mo-iluto-ko. Merun din silang SINUGLAO (sugba and kinilaw na pork). Gusto ko yung BIG clams (forgot the name - pero it looks like giant halaan - fist-size) nila...masarap.

Foodtrip going to Calinan...merun restaurant row dun going up Calinan na nagseserve ng deep fried cat fish...you should try this...mura and very masarap. Parang karinderya style.

Beach, i go to Samal island na beach...dati P5 lang ang boat ride from Davao (near the entrada ng old airport yun).

Or better still go to Insular Hotel and ask how to get to the Pearl Farm in Samal...sosyal at mahal nga lang.

Night Gimik...VENUE - katabi ng banko sentral sa davao. Thur, Fri and Saturday nights are good schedules...marami ring "pick-ups" dun - good girls with bed habits....kanya-kanyang diskarte nga lang.

Foodtrip - nice agahan - lugaw/goto with matching tokwa't baboy sa Dencia's - katabi ng JC Mall near Apo view hotel.

Foodtrip - Merun pang ibang sugbahan (barbiquehan o ihawan ang meaning nito) na sosyal sa taas ng GSIS sa Matina (but I forgot the name of the place) as well as the Dencio's or Jack Ridge (forgot which is which) sa bundok din along naman sa by-pass road. The taxi's knows these. When in Davao always try their kinilaw na tuna...yummy

Massage parlor - i go to Holiday (kay mayor duterte yun)...malinis at magaling at mura (dati P400 lang ang swedish massage that might take you 1 to 1.5hour na).

Foodtrip again - RANCHERO for steaks and american style foods.

i lived in davao city for almost 9 years and 5 years after leaving the place, i still miss it badly at times
