For me I use Antler with the light hard case, hard case siya pero kasing gaang niya yung luggage na gawa sa cloth. Manipis yung plastic pero matibay, been using it for more than 5 years pero no signs of damage or deterioration pa rin siya.

I just checked out what's available in Manila recently. Samsonite released a new one but it's around P20,000. This is a good one that can fit in 4 suits with adequate spacing inside. Victorinox has one but it's not nice and it's too thin. Delsey also has one out but it's similar to the Victorinox one. World traveler released two models too at a very good price point of between P5,000 to P10,000. I thought it was good value for money. S&R has one every once in a while.

I don't know if Tumi / Rimowa or the other guys have any. I never really bother with their shops. I feel these are just "in" brands right now though they've been around for a while much like how Tod's popularised those colourful driving shoes and Cole Haan with their colourful soles on their lunar grands or the big watch craze.

You guys use expensive luggage! I retired a samsonite laptop back pack after 7 or 8 years of everyday use. Its still in great condition aside from a small hole at the side. Replaced with a coleman computer backpack.

For suitcase, I use a local brand, compass. Its hard case spinner type suitcase. Durable and cheap. I think I've used it on at least 8 international trips and a few domestic flights. Some small scratches but otherwise still in great condition.

For big or heavy things, cartonite with balikbayan box bag.

Also have a local cabin sized spinner plastic case suitcase. British Knight brand. Its light.

I'm using unexpensive brand luggage like Hawk made by Bon Bon Mdse here in Juan Luna St Binondo Mla. I don't wanna spend money on expensive luggage. Practical lang tayo kasi yung mga luggage sa NAIA pagloading & unloading na ay hinahagis lang ng mga crew ito resulting to scratches, dent or even worse crank on the bag itself. Hawk brand is very durable though... I've been using for 10 years already.

If you guys can only closely see how baggage handlers picks and drops your bags, you'll get infuriated and might punch one of them in the face.

I also see that when i watch baggage load/off-load from the terminal. It's pretty much a given that baggage are really manhandled badly so when i pack i make sure nothing breakable is exposed and that the bags are sturdy enough not to pop open when tossed.

I've been using luggage straps lately to make sure na may additional support ang luggages, although hindi ko pa naman na-experience masiraan ng luggage while travelling.

Compared sa cloth and plastic ones.

If you're on a long haul flight utilizing a wide body aircraft, minimized ung pag bagsak ng luggages sa mobile conveyor belt truck to load it in the aircraft unlike sa narrow body aircrafts like what cebu pac/pal express use (i.e A/C A320) kung saan bulk loading ang cargo.

Sa carousel and handling nalang ang problem dahil nakalagay ang most luggages for bigger aircrafts sa isang aluminum container which in aviation biz is called AKE containers.

Parang tetris.

Yung check-in luggage generic SM lang. Masisira kasi sa conveyor at saka mainit sa mata kapag branded.
