    might be a corrupt file. try opening in a hex editor and look at the file header to try to determine

    Ah ... the Apple system ... sometimes apple just doesn't play nice with windows ... don't know if they do it on purpose or what ... how did you transfer the image? ... using USB? ... try to email the file to the windows system ...
