Mga sir patulong lang, aalis kasi Wife ko padala ng company nya on a business trip sa Italy at Austria, total of 14 days. The company is giving her a budget of 400 dollars (28 per day), that's a little bit short of 17k.

USD28 per day is too small! That's just EUR20. You cannot find a decent hotel at that rate. Budget hotels in Europe cost around EUR80 to 100. Most everything in Europe is expensive pa.

I would suggest that you order EUR as pocket money. It's not readily available at czarina even at banks so you need to give them lead time.

Mababa yung $28 kahit excluding official business transpo and hotel.

$40 naman if meron. For personal food and drinks lang yan.

Maybe the company your wife works for expects her to beg for food and hitch rides while she's there.

^Yeah, USD28 = EUR20, eh isang bote ng coke sa Europe more or less 1 euro na. How can u survive with 20 euros a day kaya. hehe.

I checked out the file, it's USD307 for Austria and Rome is USD404 including hotel. Okay pala mag work sa UN

Ha? Hindi pa kasama hotel accomodation ung 28per day sir? Dapat kasama na hotel dyan including breakfast. Para lunch and dinner na lang ung allowance niya at least double that amount.

Ayon sa computation eh 50 usd a day plus clothing allowance. Yung hotel 150 usd for 13 days.

IMHO, it depends where particularly in italy and austria. if it's in rural areas, it would be sufficient for the food and transpo. a decent hotel/budget inn in these countries is within the 40 euros range, +- 10 euros.

I'm trying to remember the Schengen Visa Application I submitted to the Italian Embassy. I think it recommends that the traveler have anywhere between 60-100 Euros per day of travel to answer for food and accommodation.

So, the absolute minimum per diem should be at least 60 Euros/day.

I believe your wife should decline the travel if it will result in hardship for her money-wise. Baka pahirapan din ang reimbursement, if at all allowed by her company. Ok lang sana kung separate budget ang hotel and food from the per diem prescribed by her company.

150 USD per day ang budget niya sa hotel? That should be good enough for a decent hotel. 50 USD per day should be enough for food and transpo.

Per diem within Europe should be at least $40 to be able to eat a decent meal plus short-distance fare. Hotel should be paid through credit card. Note that they require a chip&pin card in Europe as the magnetic (swipe) is not common.

Very useful credit card doon minsan required in order to avail of outright tax discount pag namimili.
