btw, medyo OT. We are planning to go to Baguio this coming holiday, this will be my first time driving up to Baguio since the last time we went up there (many years ago), eh nakiki-ride lang ako.
    1. Normally, pag kayo ba, how many stops do you take to rest or cool down your engine.
    2. As per your experience, best time to leave home para iwas sa traffic (para makakita rin ng Scenic spots as well)
    3. And any alternative route aside sa NLEX (Sta Ines Exit ba?) -> Mac Arthur -> Marcos Hway/Kennon Rd
    OT:

    1. usually i stop on these places:
    - shell stn bocaue nlex (food & fuel)
    - tarlac city
    - sison junction (b4 umakyat ng kennon)

    2. best time is around 3am ka alis IMO para pagsikat ng araw, kita mo lahat ng view coz around 6am andun ka na sa scenic spots.

    3. yep, sta. ines, yung dulo ng nlex. going up you can use the shorter route via kennon rd w/c is mas ok sa akin, kasi daming scenic spots like waterfalls and of course, the lions head. Since 1st time mo going up, i suggest mag-Marcos Hiway ka muna which is to me mas safer kasi properly guided mga daan and bago at maluluwag lalu mga curves. its way preferred daanan 'to ng mga public transpo.

    Enjoy!

Mainit na kasi dito sa Manila so I prefer to go somewhere malamig. I love how mist feels on my skin.

Personally i never have been a beach person. I prefer some place cooler (than metro manila) and much less traffic as well.

Tagaytay (back in the 90s) was formerly my get-away place (day-trip or so) until commercial development pretty much ruined it for me. I still would go there but it's probably because its a date or something, not for me to clear my head of day-to-day stuff.

The mountain road through Tanay, Rizal is a great way (for me) to spend a couple of hours just enjoying the purity of driving great road with a good car. Not much places to stop (a lonely hotel and some scattered food places) which might be good to keep it "as-is" for the meantime.

nakakamiss yung dating lugar ng mga resto na bakanteng lote pa. park ka lang dun hanggang madaling araw 150 petot lang ata bayad sa maliit na shed

i miss those open and free spaces in tagaytay, too. . .ngayon ang tindi ng traffic from all directions leading to the roundabout

Just like most tsikoteers, Tagaytay din ako. Sana matuloy ang pagpunta namin this coming weekend.

BTW, pa-OT lang saglit, magkano na ba SLEX toll fee from manila to sta.rosa (without using skyway)?

    ^I think it's P110 already

I hate how the main road in Tagaytay has condos already. It looks kinda off to me.

    I love summer.

Depends on the beach. I never liked going to Bora, too crowded. too noisy.

Laiya's more like it. Fair scenery, good food. Less people. Talking about la luz here ... ;)

Cold climates, uhm ... I often go to Tagaytay before but since the traffic build up is getting worse I lessened my trip there to about twice to thrice a year only. Compared to the almost once every two months in the past years ( -2008. )
