Just arrived from HK last Sunday with my wife. Surprisingly, its not as cold (14 degrees Celsius) compared to when we were there same time last year.

Experienced na din sleeping at HKIA for the first time, hehehe. To those who want to try, mas magandang matulog sa Terminal 1, near the Mainland Travel Services Counter, kasi there are seats na walang harang sa gitna, so you can lie down. Most of the seats kasi in Terminal 2, may harang sa gitna eh, so you would have to sleep in a sitting position. Just beware of the mainland Chinese tourists, ang iingay pag nagsasalita!

^^^ Nope, tactical error in booking a hotel (Harbour Plaza Resort City, New Territories).

May Disneyland Package kasi sila until December 22, but when I was booking it online via their hotel website, hindi naman successful. So I booked na lang via Asiatravel (2 nights), and my plan was to personally convince hotel staff when we arrived that I plan to on avail of their Disneyland package. Bad mistake, all their superior rooms were fully booked, and only the suites were available. At HKD 3,300 a pop, it was simply out of the question. Nagpa-waiting list na lang kami, and we tried to look for other hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui, with no such luck.

Ultimately, we decided na lang to stay overnight sa HKIA. Tutal, we had a 9:45am flight, and we just left our baggage at the airport (HKD 120 per piece overnight), and we toured Central until almost midnight.

It was a great experience naman, me and my wife slept well, and since the WiFi connection was fast, it was a night well spent.

Yung bangko na kahoy ang paborito kung tulugan dyan sa HKIA. Walang sandalan. Papag na papag ang dating. Malamig nga lang pag winter.

    Nope, just one night.

We stayed in our hotel from Thursday to Saturday (2 nights), checked out Saturday 12nn, proceeded directly to the airport and left our luggage. We toured Central and other spots and returned to the airport before midnight, slept there until 6:00 AM, and collected our luggage and waited until our Sunday 9:45 AM flight back to Clark.

Another nice thing sa HKIA are the restaurants. May Cafe de Coral at Cystal Jade Xiao Long Bao...And the rest rooms are well kept, as good as some high end malls...walang tabo-tabo...
