Pwede naman yun, depends which part you go. Drive and get off lang naman a lot of places you can already see it. Grand Canyon is huge.

I really want to go to Athens, Greece and rural Japan.

I want to stop by Lake Havasu for a couple of days and then head up north to Nevada. But, the eldest kid wants to go to one of the SoCal beaches. Well, unless she drives, forget California. Her way is a much longer drive.

Lake Havasu with London Bridge (the real London Bridge from England).

    Crater Lake in Oregon.

    Or

    Or

    Lake Towada

I've been to Crater Lake and Lake Towada. I've never been to Mt. Pinatubo. Must be nice.

If you passed the Grand Canyons, you probably also passed Meteor Crater. It's nearby. I'm actually more fascinated by Meteor Crater than the Grand Canyons.

Looking at Batanes again. I told the wife if we moved to the PH, I'm not staying at Leyte (yuk) nor am I staying at Metro Manila (bleh). She can do what she wants at those two places. Me? If she needs me, she can find me way up north.

I'd love to stay there (in a solar-powered hut) and set up a weather station as a hobby.

The wife and kids want a similar trip next year except we'll do the Central Coast and do an overnight at a friend's house in the Bay Area. After that, then we head to northern Nevada. On the way back home, we make sure our friends in Las Vegas are home so we can spend a few days there.

Not sure who taught this guy. But, it's always been the crater lake that is the real volcano. I knew that even as a kid. But then, I also knew that just because a volcano has a crater lake doesn't mean it's not active.

I used to spend every summer at Lake Tahoe. Sigh. Too bad the wife n kids don't have any concept of spending time outdoors like camping or boating.

Kinda ironic because the kids always considered themselves tree huggers. Yet, they're the ones who least appreciate spending time outdoors.

I'm the one who don't mind killing Bambi or cutting down a tree. Yet, I spent a lot of time camping and hiking (or snorkeling in the tropics).
