The Ph is featured in CNN this week, complete with quick stats on population, GDP, etc. Eye On - CNN.com

Curiously, it lists Pacman as one of our national heroes, in the same league as Rizal. Which leads Yahoonews to pose the question, Pacquiao as Philippine national hero? Pacquiao as Philippine national hero? - Yahoo! News Philippines

Agree or disagree? And do you think the CNN Eye feature will help boost tourism?

Cant blame them if they see it that way..what do we have as a nation? If we look at our history we aint got no George Washington who defeated a colonial power with peasants as soldiers. We don't have a von Bismarck who united a fragmented state and turned it to a powerful country. A Gengish Khan who conquered most of asia and europe. No Ho Chi Minh and Vo Nguyen Giap who drove away a superpower using rifles and sheer determination. We aint got no generals who won glorious battles.

What we got is guy who wrote stories, united in a way, our countrymen but don't wanna go to war against the oppressive conquerors, he just wants reforms. And another guy who's willing to fight it out, but ended up losing battle after battle, and got executed by his supposed allies. And this new guy was good in making deals with the enemy. We got dictators, we got incompetent presidents, movie star presidents.

Then we have singers, billiard players and a boxer who's being idolized by half of the planet.

Cant blame em if they see it that way

Hehe, even achievements by individuals in other countries with just 0.1% pinoy blood is a cause for a huge celebration here.
