Just wanna share my relaxing weekend with you guys.

Originally, Laluz ang plano namin puntahan. But when we tried to reserve a room last week, they said they were fully booked for the weekend.
But we still went anyway. Hoping that someone else would cancel their reservation and we would be
lucky enough to get their slot.

We left manila(ortigas area) around 4am. Stopped by Petron SLEX for breakfast around 4:30am. After 30mins of eating, we continued our trip. We just followed the directions that Laluz resort pointed out in their website. passing by Lipa and Rosario and the Batangas Racing Circuit.

It was smooth driving (Slex would be the worst road condition you'd pass) just before you hit the barangay where the resorts are located. We had to go through 3kms of unpaved road - it was a wide, dry, dirt road na pinantay kaya wala naman potholes. We used a honda civic and kaya naman at around 20-30 kph. Kung may EVO sana ako, gravel stage! hahaha

Eniweys, we reached Laiya just before 8am. Turned out we didn't have to go to Laluz anymore. There were already a lot of resort signs near the road. We checked out Kabayan, Virgin and Balay resorts. we ended up in Sabangan resort. Nice place with a very friendly manang named connie.

The room (well, more like a house kasi detached) is P3.5k, 2 big beds, airconditioned, private shower room and CR. may hot shower. Plus they'll provide you with a hot and cold water dispenser and the first 5gal refil is free. We were 4 in our group so OK na siya. Food was an issue. They do not have a resto. But they said they can cook for us if we brought in our food. Good thing it was still early and the talipapa in the next barangay was still open. We managed to get some rice, liempo and some gulays. we were able to split them for 2 meals (lunch of sinigang and inihaw and dinner of adobo).

It was a fairly laid back weekend for us. Just some pusoy, swimming, eating and hangingout near the beach. aside from us, the only guests in the resort was a family of around 20 (half of which were kids) so hindi kami crowded.

I suggest you guys try it out some time. sarap.

Here are some of the pictures

the sand is very much like white beach in puerto.

yun nga lang, wala mashadong bangka nakaparada sa beach (yung mga bangka dun eh pang-fishing lang. there was even a small bangka with some kids on it trying to learn how to throw a fishing net. cute)...

    wala nagbebenta ng friendship band..

    walang nagaalok ng masahe...

    walang bars with gay bartenders...

walang loud music paglubog ng araw...

the thing that I liked the most? clear waters. we were in waist deep water and there were 4 fishes(about half an inch in length, black and yellow stripes) that kept on following me

di naman ganun ka-virgin yung place eh. dami na rin resorts.

    pero di crowded.

gastos? sorry, I forgot to break it down.

    P3,500 for the house

    450 for the food

    600 for the gas (estimate)

thsi is for the whole group na. (there were 4 of us)

the chips and the beers were provided by my friend so di ko alam magkano.

oh, we also gave the manang P500 as some sort of payment since she was the one who cooked our food (lunch-dinner-bfast).

On our way back, naksalubong kami ng prado na humahataw (around 80kph dun sa dirt road) nasabi ko tuloy, sarap dito kung naka-truck. kaya ko naisip i-post yung trip kasi sakto para sa mga taga-tsikot tulad nina PK and glennster.

Are those resorts in San Juan, Batangas? How much farther from BRC?

What's the web site of Laluz resort? Thanks.

Mga 2 hour drive ito mula Cabuyao, Laguna to Laia and approcimately 90 kms.

    P 50 entrance

we took a boat ride, 15/pax plus 50 bucks for the boatman. 500 meters away from our cottage hanggang waist ulit ang tubig kasi maraming corals. pwede ka bumaba from the boat. then we went to the other side of the beach, siguro mga 200 meters from the beach huminto na yung boat kasi mababaw na yung tubig. doon mabuhangin.

    that was 6 years ago.

are the corals in these beaches still ok? minsan kasi bulabog na ang mga corals ng mga resort due to irresponsible swimmers..
