Rosegold - Medyo malalaki ang cottages nila if 2 lang kayo (7K ata pinakamababang rate). It could be a romantic setting lalo na kung konti lang tao (i suggest weekdays as they are fully booked on weekends) and u will propose in the cottage balcony. Food is just ok. Pero medyo sablay sila nung comp outing nila mrs (well anyway madamihan kasi)

White Cove - You have a choice between hotel rooms and some sort of condo unit (kaya lang last time tumawag kami fully booked sila ng weekend till May). Ganda dito mag propose on a moonlit and clear night (as in maraming stars) tapos may bonfire kayo. Kami ni Mrs nun we just laid on the sand on a starry night very relaxing siya.

Calaruega - simply intimate. Tama nga sabi nila okay talaga dun sa campsite nila overlooking the trees and mountain.

heyy!! thanks for the reviews! for now, number one on my list is caleruega, next is rosegold and then White Cove.

I've tried calling Rosegold..fully booked na sila..for the month of May, but i'll still check if available ang friday night to saturday morning..i was thinking of reserving tagaytay cottage, yung cottage sa dulo, (large) kasi yun yung pinakamagandang location..so i think, i'll just invite his bestfriend and my bestfriend to share the occassion with us.

i tried calling caluruega, kaya lang, walang sumasagot..i dont know if i have the right number... =( so pls pls...anyone who has the contact number??

this is going to nasugbu lalampas ka ng tagaytay (residence inn)tapos alfonso, then makikita mo yung facilities ng san miguel sa right taas ng bundok, after nun may petron station ???? just go straight to nasugbu (may arc ata dito, pag kumanan ka ur going to canyon woods). Follow yung sign that says going to Don bosco, then before reaching batulao golf club u make a left, diretso lang may signs naman that says "to calaruega". HTH

any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. =)

ladycroft, i hope you don't mind me asking, but isn't "exchanging vows" the same as getting married? if you're catholic, dapat church yan. caleruega na best bet mo if you're thinking of tagaytay. but if you're thinking of proposing (though i honestly find it weird that you are the one proposing and not him), antonio's is a great place to do that. reservation is at least 2 wks in advance during the lean season. pag peak season, buwan ang bilang. i went there night time last valentines and it was the best. we sat by the koi pond. ang lamig ang sarap! and the food is tops. the chef (and owner) is antonio and he goes around to make sure you are all being treated well. the fresh dalandan juice is bottomless (can you believe that?! sarap!!) and the steak is made exactly as you'd expect, choice lean meat (unless marble-lized ang gusto mo) and cooked in olive oil. the food (if i may say so) is perfect.

now if you want a nice place to stay, my other suggestions (aside from those already mentioned) are canyon woods and punta fuego. they actually hvae cottages for rent even for non-members (sa canyon woods, these are their model units that they are renting out - last november, ang tindi ng fog diyan!). there's this really nice hillside place in punta fuego that's breezy and serene with just the sound of the crashing waves in the background (dito kasi kami nagpa-pre-nup pictures e). i can't remember the exact location but you can ask the front desk. they're very accomodating. (yun lang, its summer so baka medyo maraming tao. try to go in the weekdays na lang siguro.)

hi smooth...wow..i was surprised by the question hehe but to satisfy your curiosity, yes, we're both catholic but still dont have plans of getting married so for now, i could just offer my special someone a vow...nothing formal, no legalities...no papers..just us, a poem or letter, and thats it. just wanna assure him , in my own little way that i'll always be with him, even if i leave the country..but still,i want it to be very special...hehe wala ngang proposal e kasi ala pang plans for marriage ..just an exchange of vows of loyalty and love for each other..ewwww...mushy na yatang masyado hehe

but thanks for the info..check ko yung punta fuego =)

coiter already gave me the number for caleruega, i tried calling them but it was to no avail...out of reach yung line =(

P.S. thanks for reminding me of Antonios...nalimutan ko sya sa list ko kanina.

my apologies if i was too direct. na-curious lang ako. mas naintindihan ko na ang post mo

    other suggestions:

intramuros. any of those old spanish-esque restos there. its very nice. lalo na ngayon na puro out of town mga tao, baka konti lang tao diyan.

lipa batangas. okay daw ata yung farm sa san benito. haven't been there really pero my wife has this place in lipa that's so nice (actually its a farm din - daming mga coconut trees and may mga kabayo). ang lamig pag gabi. sa umaga pag gising, mag exchange vows kayo with the kuliglig in the background while admiring the dew drops on the leaves. (walang ganyan sa states!) (heheh loko lang, of course may ganyan sa states)

if you've got a few thousand pesos to burn, how about tops in cebu city? at night, its super nice. lamig pa kahit summer. at around 10pm, its a short 20-25 minute drive from the city. on the way up to tops, there's this really nice and tasteful italian resto. sarap. mura pa (note that food in cebu is at least 15% cheaper than in manila - kaya bawi mo na ang pamasahe mo.). (well, no hindi mo mababawi pamasahe mo - exagerrating na ko - pero pwede na din.)

lastly, eto ang pinaka-grand prize ko (IMO), mandala spa in boracay. they have cottages there for rent especially for couples. packages are 3D/2N (or may 2D/1N ata). sobrang sobrang sobrang ganda. did i say that enough? sobrang ganda! the cottages are incredible. go all out na if you ask me. mukhang matagal ka naman mawawala e. okay na yan
