Been to Pico de Loro last Holy week. We took the SLEX-Tagaytay Route. If you're going to use Cavitex, you can use the Nasugbu-Ternate Road. IMO, mas mata-traffic ka if you'll use the latter route since magbabayan-bayan ka pa sa cavite.

Thanks for the reply, bro. Crave How long did it take you via SLEX? I was considering cavitex since it's shorter by around 40kms and i want to avoid the traffic in tagaytay.
Since i'm just from Santa Rosa ( near Mamplasan exit ), it took us 2-2.5 hours. Just turn right to Lagusan drive in Santa Rosa-Tagaytay road since matraffic na upon reaching Rowena's until dun sa end ng Santa Rosa-Tagaytay road. Next na matraffic is after summit ridge until sky ranch.

Thanks again for the quick reply. In that case, via SLEX it is then. Double tnx on the route advice.
Guys, papunta din kami Pico de Loro on May5th Monday. Grabe ba traffic sa CaviteX way? First time ko sakali sa route na ito. Thanks!
Hindi matrapik ang Cavitex. Ang matrapik are the towns of Gen Trias and Tanza in Cavite. From end of Cavitex hanggang malampasam mo ang Tanza is about 30 mins. After that, derederecho na.

From Cavitex go straight, you'll pass by Wilcon, EPZA, go straight to Tanza, may Puregold, go straight, you'll see lots of beach resorts sign, you'll also pass by an abandoned project of Uniwide at the left, go straight to Naic, you'll see yellow signs To Hamilo at the right, you'll pass by a Iglesia ni Christo Temple at the right, slow down, you'll see a Petron station, turn left sa split, go straight may Mcdo, go straight sa mga crossings to Ternate, after about 5 to 10 mins drive, you'll see to Puerto Azul and to Hamilo signs, slow down, turn right at the small Petron station, go straight, you'll see another to Puerto Azul and Hamilo signs, follow the signs, you'll pass another Iglesia ni Christo Temple, from here, you're about 23-25 km to Picothen rock & roll! It's zigzagging time to Pico de Loro

^Iisang daan lang yan. Your target is Ternate town in Cavite. Just like any other roards sa Pinas, kulang ang mga signs pero National hiway ka dadaan. Hindi ka maliligaw. After Ternate town ay puro bundok na hanggang Pico.
Paglabas mo ng Cavitex ay Kawit town. Derecho ka ng Centennial road. Check Google. Soriano hiway na ang kasunod to Ternate.

Cavitex would still be your best option. The other route can be SLEX exit Carmona then head straight Gen. Trias going Ternate.
On a Monday, Sta Rosa to Tagaytay route will be appealing as it's more scenic and can have a stop over in Tagaytay for coffee. Traffic should be smooth all the way. Them coming back, try the Ternate route to experience and familiarize.
Climbed Mt. Pico de Loro yesterday, passed by Cavitex/Nasugbu-Ternate road.
Fe at Navara hehe.

Natraffic lang ako from Osmena highway to Roxas Boulevard.
The last time we went there (summer of this year), I just relied on Waze.
Now, I can't even remember which route I took. lol
Went there a few months back and took Cavitex. Minimal traffic encountered.
