Vitara Clutch Sobrang Tigas

Sobrang tigas ng Clutch nung Vitara ng Friend ko... Tapos pag mainit na makina hindi na siya mag engage sa Gear... Ano kaya problem? One more thing May Tulo daw sa Gear box kaya nag bababawas daw ng Power steering.... How much kaya more or less magagastos? Lets say Worst case senario?

Bro, I have a vitara also, and i have encountered a similar problem din, my suggestions are:

1. Change the clutch cable (heads up nito it costs P1,500+ OEM, replacement around P1k); This I believe will solve even the hard engagement into gear; I have been unlucky and have replaced it twice na (coz yung first time naging maganit and hard shifting into gear - dahil sa kalumaan na rin siguro at naging jerky na ang motion, the last time which was last friday lang because naputol).

2. Baka Power Steering pump ang tinutokoy ng friend mo? Malabo naman na magbawas ng PS fluid (which is ATF btw) if you consider the tagas sa gear box (different system). Pa check mo lang ang PS system mo bro, fix the leaks in the power steering system, buy a repair kit if necessary, and replace the atf.
