yes, you need a bigger turbo. in fact, you need a whole upgraded turbo/intercooler kit to make decent power out of an intercooler (i.e. bigger turbo, intercooler, reflashed ECU, all the tubes and lines, manifold/wastegate, exhaust/downpipe etc.)

yes you can add an intercooler, you dont need to reflash the ECU because there is none, change the actuator of the wastegate to an adjustable one so that ma increase mo ang boost.

afaik, xuv xwind has low charge turbo? ano ba ibig sabihin nito?
    correct me if im wrong...

I'd strongly advise against this... calibration shop ang bagsak mo dyan since kerosene and diesel fuel have different lubricity characteristics.

    Biodiesel is a better option...

Medyo OT na to. That's when they remember na gasolina pala na-load ng driver at di diesel. I guess mas okay yong kerosene mo bro.

Siguro naman n/a components are different from turbo a/t version...

Talagang mahina hatak ng turbo a/t - crosswind xuvi to be specific. i remember i was having a hard time reaching 100++ on star toll.

peso for peso you have to think if you really need more power. it's not as simple as installing the intercooler. you have to have the piping fabricated for it pa .

I also doubt its really necessary to add serious HP to the Crosswind since it's not even designed to handle high speeds safely (esp. the XTRM and up models with bigger tires and lifted body). The main reason for the being of that vehicle is utility.

Again: DO NOT MIX KEROSENE WITH DIESEL.

RE: gasoline in a diesel vehicle: They were lucky nothing happened to the fuel system!

    -----

The Crosswind's turbo is not there to add top-end horsepower (useless on an engine that wont' rev that high anyway...) but to add torque lower in the powerband, to make up for the sluggishness imbued by the automatic transmission's gearing. Ask anyone who's driven both manual and automatic Crosswinds, and they'll tell you... it didn't work.

You'd need to upgrade to a quicker spooling turbo unit if you want to add an intercooler, since the Crosswind's turbo is so torpid that you might do nothing but lose power with just an intercooler. Personally, if intake heat is such an issue, just add a snorkel. It'll lose you some high end horsepower, yes, but you'll get just as much cold intake air as with an intercooler with the added bonus of better water fording capabilities.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
