A/T hold/power switch

mga sir, help naman po sa prob regarding my a/t of Nissan Terrano '93, TD27 turbo, subic converted.Meron kasing hold/power switch para sa a/t nya, pag naka hold ok naman ang shift ng gear pero malakas po sa diesel, i only get 5-6kms/l both city and highway driving.Kapag naka off ang switch meaning hindi naka on ang hold or power isang beses lang mag upshift then wala na kahit i-rev pa.then pag switch ulit sa hold habang tumatakbo, automatic shift na ulit.nagpalit na po ako ng atf at pinalinis ang strainer wala pong nagbago.sabi nung mekaniko, kelangan daw palitan ang clutch kit or buong transmission na.may kinalaman po kaya rpm gauge ko kasi di po gumagana.

That switch it raises the rpm limiter. You'll notice the car "revs harder" with the switch activated. Better gas mileage when not in use.

nissan terrano subics tranny are that bad. the fuel consumption you are having is common. my best fc is 8km/l. they feel underpowered on highway but actualy decent on uphills. before believing they are busted, have it check the computer, I recall they have two computer box, then also, try testing another subic terrano. then if you conclude there is really something wrong with the tranny, better convert it to manual.

yes, rev harder para umatras o umabante, pero pag naka switch off konting rev lang ok na.at sa uphill kelangan ko switch para makaakyat ng mabuti.thank you

i used to get 8km/l or better pa before nagkaproblema. kaya nagpost ako dito to get 2nd opinions, alam ko di pa busted ang tranny kasi it responds pa naman kung naka switch on ang hold pag naka off talaga ayaw mag shift.any reccomended shops po na magaling mag ayos ng computer box? thank you

it's really hard to determine a/t's. sometimes, the cause of tranny slippage or long delay upshift is because of the fuel pump or engine.

sorry, no ideas for a/t experts.
