Anyone heard about backlash??

    Sentra gs 1.6 at.

that clunking is normal. it is the parking pawl that has its normal slack to find the lowest spot where the lever mechanically locks in place with the transmission/transaxle is placed in Park position.

the clunking or surging when you shift from park to reverse or neutral to drive are mainly caused by worn out north and south (between the radiator and the engine and the mount between the engine and the firewall) engine mounts. sometimes it has a torque reaction strut between the cylinder head and the right hand strut mount. this too wears out and causes the clunking when the reaction to torque takes up the slack of the worn out engine mounts

another cause for this clunk is higher than normal idle speed

another is, if the transmission has a throttle cable, a misadjustment

kung wala naman, e... wala yan. ordinary wear and tear due to increasing metal tolerances.. all cars have 'em in varying amounts.
    just enjoy your ride sir.

Delay upshift + onting sipa mga sir sa transmission.. this is the main issue on my car.

Checked the engine mounts seems ok.

pero kung matagal mo na hindi napalitan ang atf ng ride mo, now is a good time as any imo

Hi.. just to update this thread, I recently changed my car's atf fluid.. tama kayo mga sir, need palit palitan from time to time ang atf. Super dumi na pala nung atf date. E pano almost 1 year nang ndi napalitan.
