Surplus A/T price?

Hi mga gurus!

I just wanna know if you guys have any inputs on how much a surplus A/T costs now a days? Also, from which shops do you recommend getting the said part from? I have a '97 Civic VTI which is showing signs of a possible busted tranny. It revs up to 4 or 5k for quite some time before it shifts gears and the shift shock very noticeable. Too strong to think its normal IMHO. I will be having it serviced for the usual tranny cable check and ATF replacement but being the always-be-prepared guy that I am, I wanted to just see if my wallet could handle it if in case the worst case scenario happens.
