    But keeping it in D actually heats up your ATF, aside from the wear on the brake pads. You'd have to weigh the stress on the tranny by shifting to N and engaging back to D, compared to the stress on the ATF and brakes.

    Add ko lang, pag nasa D kasi mas mataas ang idling konti, kaya better to N. Pansin ko to sa Starex ko, kapag lalabas ng grahe from P to R or D, nag iiba na tunog ng makina, it means nataas konti na ang idling niya.

    Nasanay ako sa m/t kaya nilalagay ko lagi sa N. Common sense na lang siguro yun unless wala ka alam sa kotse at ang alam mo lang ay magdrive ng magdrive.

    Sa ibang bansa na halos lahat A/T ang sasakyan,- wlang lagayan sa N, kahit na medyo matagal ang hintayan sa intersection....

    Wala naman akong naririnig na problema sa abnormal wear and tear ng sasakyan nila...

    ako nilalagay ko sa N sa stoplight. mas relaxed din ang legs sa pag tapak sa brake. no need ilagay sa P kasi dadaan ka pa sa R.

    Never put in P. Very costly repairs in case a vehicle accidentally hits you from behind.

    i put it to neutral, then engage the handbrake. it's no big deal to me.
