yup, i think all 1600 sedans have m/t options sans the top of the line models, e.g. altis 1.8G, mazda3 2.0R, lancer mx, nissan exalta grandeur, honda civic 2.0 (though the vti-s has a manual), etc.

To spoil its brilliant chassis and sporty look and feel, the Mazda3 is actually not available with a manual.

1.6 Altis, Civic, Lancer, Lynx, Optra and Sentra have available manuals in lower trim levels.

Yup... All 1.6 sedans are available with a Manual except the Mazda 3. The top of the line Sentra GSX 1.6 is AT only, as is the Lancer GLS 1.6 (Invecs AT)

Among 2.0 to 3.0 class cars, the Ford Lynx RS (sedan) and the Hyundai Coupe (4 seats, 2 doors) are the only ones offered in manual. There are no midsize sedans offered in manual at the moment... and the only Germanic sedans with full MT are the bottom of the line BMW 316 and Audi A4 1.6... which are both ridiculously underpowered for their price.

If you want a manual for the excitement, only the Lynx RS and the Hyundai Coupe come close, but both are only moderately quick. If you want it for economy, most 1.3s-1.6s have MTs galore.

konti lang talaga ng selection lalo na sa 2.0 and above class.
di ba mas mura pa presyo ng sasakyan kung naka manual tranny ito compared sa automatic counterpart nito?

Yes, but market forces demand AT... supposedly. But the weird thing is, if they only sell AT because that is the demand, why do all the owners complain of the lack of MT?

dapat lang sana naka-MT ang Civic 2.0... Honda is know for making great shifters... it's a shame they don't put them on the local Civic 2.0 and the Accords.
