Question for A/T Experts

hi, guys!
i have the same car ('96 GLi A/T), so adjusting the kick down cable interested me.. medyo nalito lng ako sa epekto nung pg-lessen ng slack.
first, it was observed that by doing that, the TS noticed "that the A/T shifts to a higher gear sooner when accelerating smoothly".

so, my question is, bakit mas lumakas pa sa gas? di ba mas ok nga yung ganun in terms of FC?

With tightening the kick-down cable, the A/T becomes more sensitive to gas pedal pressure and goes into more agressive down shifting mode. Bringing back the slack will make it shift to a higher gear faster with smooth driving and you need more pressure on the gas pedal to make it downshift as when overtaking

I believe it's a factor on how deep did you push your accelerator pedal. I notice sa extra slack, though it upshits earlier, I didn't realize that I pushed it deeper on uphills and overtakings because rpm seems low, peru malalim na pala yung tinapak sa pedal. slack kickdown also makes the gas pedal even softer...
