proper cable slack

how/what should be the proper auto trans cable slack for 97 honda city? i know it should be in the owner's manual but i dont have it. i got the car second hand...dapat ba the lever should move right away once na you press on the accel pedal or me konting delay about 1cm? or dapat nakabatak na ng konti maski di pa nakaapak sa gas?

i don't have the specs for your car, but as a general rule:
loose= early shifts
tight = delay shifts
so you can do it by trial method
