newbie question, please help

Hi to all gurus

tanong ko lang kung ano tawag dun sa link na nagko-connect sa propeller shaft at sa diferential? cross? something ba yun?

kaya ko naitanong kasi almost 10yrs na ay hindi ko pa napapalitan yung link na yun baka need ko na palitan, regular ko lang pinapalagyan ng grease sa gas station.

isa pa pong tanong, yung rear wheel ng pregio ko ay jinack ko tapos sinubukan ko iikot ng kamay, may naramdaman akong delay sa pagikot ng propeller shaft parang may kalog sa mga gear.... dapat ba kapag inikot ko ang gulong sabay ikot din ng propeller shaft at wala dapat kalog?

cross joint, cross member, or flange, you can inspect it by checking it manually, turn it back and forth and inspect if there are noticeable play, inspect it underneath and not by just turning the wheel, turn the propeller itself instead...you can see if the joints are loose then it needs replacement,

you can replace the cross joint only or replace the whole flange, either way you will need that be done on a machine shop

its normal that rearwheels will have play but not too much or it will cause noise during shifting or you can hear it when you step on the accelerator..

If aint broke, dont fix. But, its a good idea to check once in a while.
