    HELLO,mga katsikots magtanung uli ako sa inyo kung normal ba sa automatic transmission na pag nakapark ka sa medyo inclined o matarik tapos pag abante ka sa drive na hindi mo masyado diin selenyador o parang alalay lang ay aatras pa yung sasakyan ko bago aabante.akala ko kasi pag naka D ka ay hindi aatras.minsan kasi may nakatutuk sa likod ko noong nakapark kami sa inclined na kalsada nang aabantre ako ay muntik mabunggo cya buti nadiinan ko agad selenyador kaya yun umabante agad.mga 30degrees inclined yung kalsada nagparkan namin.salamat sa inputs.

    habang apak mo ang preno and ilagay mo sa D, walang galaw dapat yan.

    Ganyan sa vios ko pag masyado matarik. Kaya brake muna bago tanggal sa park then quickly switch your foot to gas.

    With most conventional A/T, there's a slight lag from the time you shifted to Drive and the gears/torque converter engaging. Keep your foot on the brakes until you feel the car starting to lurch forward.

    On a very steep incline with the engine at idle, it may not have enough power to keep the car from rolling backwards. In this case, you have two options to keep the car from rolling backwards:

    1. Use the brakes as a pseudo clutch. With your left foot firmly on the brakes, apply some gas with your right while releasing the brakes slowly. Remember to do this very gently to prevent the car from surging forward
    2. Use the handbrake method as you would in a manual transmission

    If the idle speed is too low or the engine is misfiring there is a tendency for a car with A/T to roll backwards when going uphill from standing still even in D range

    kahit naman sa M/T if matarik ang daan.. aatras ang sasakyan if galing sa hinto at kulang tapak sa gas. matarik na yang 30 degree..

    yung Sentra ko na A/T, even sa mga flyovers hindi naman nangyayari yang ganyan. its a timing on the release of the brake/handbrake.

    may onting onti lang pag paakyat ng basement parking.

    gaano ka tarik ba yan sir? isang beses ko lang na encounter yan nung nag atras sa may basement parking ng jackman plaza.

    Di naman talaga atras yan pag naka brake eh. I think what the TS is asking eh yung force ng D without the help of the brake.

    depende talaga sa steepness ng incline yung pag-atras ng conventional A/T car... mas matarik = higher tendency na umatras.
    pag medyo steep incline i usually use my brake (left foot) or hand brake pag inaasahan ko na matagal ang stop.
    pag ginamit mo ang right foot sa brake pedal tapos lipat sa gas, may tendency na aatras sya kahit gaano kabilis ang foot switching if the incline is steep.

    Confirming as well - for Revo SR on an Aisin transmission (3speed + od) = it has a certain angle threshold baga that it can support staying in place just by sticking on D mode. anything more than this (say parking sa megamall building b, or tagaytay highlands chapel uphill) would require a tap of the gas pedal to assist the vehicle.

    mabigat kasi ang revo na matic, medyo mahina pa torque - the technicians at shell also mentioned this is normal.

    OT: para ma-demo, play "Hill Climb Racing" in your Android phone or tablet. A/T ang car dyan. when you are on a steep road or hill, press Brake para mag-stop ang car, then let go. do not press Gas.. uurong ang car.

    Ang ugali tuwing magpapark sa may incline ay:

    1. ilagay sa neutral (with service brakes applied syempre)
    2. apply the parking brakes (with service brakes still applied)
    3. release service brakes
    4. shift to Park

    para hindi napupuwersa yung parking pawl ng auto tranny. anliit lang kaya iyon. kung naputol e ewan ko na lang kung ano sisirain sa loob nung naputol na pawl.

    kapag inuna mo ishift to park before applying parking brakes e sa aking pagkakaalam e mas pwersado yung parking pawl ng auto tranny.
