good day, i've posted already rerarding my a/t transmission overhaul problem.

now i would like to gain some knowledge if it's possible if i'd just convert it to manual transmission and i could save more pesos than try overhauling the a/t ( by replacing with a re-manufactured tranny which is estimated 50k+ at casa).

how much do u think will it costs me, and things that will need to be replace? mine is civic vti '96 A/T

manual transmission 4 civic below 20T, stick shift assy with cable na 1.5-2.5T all surplus saka hanap ka ng center console box na pang civic manual. d lang natin alam pa e kung pwde iconvert or disable ung A/T sensor ng ECU

Hi Joey, how about conversion of manual to automatic transmission for a '97 Civic VTi? Possible ba ito? Mahal kaya? And will it require conversion of the ECU too?

around or - 20T din ung matic sir, same din kay mkejohnny a/t shifter assy wd cable at center console ng vti matic ang kylangan mo. if ever d pwede disable or convert speed sensor swap/trade in ur ECU na pang matic ( swap kyo ni mikejohnny pati na rin center console at shifter kung magksundo kyo hehe) at ung wiring lang ng tranny sensor ang gagalawin lana iba

teka u nid also radiator na may oilcooler or install kna lang surplus na oilcooler at linkage for a/t tranny cable s may throttle linkage ( dko lang matandaan kung cable type or electronic na ang vti)

medyo pricey pero i'm pretty sure you'll fall below the 50k for the repair of the auto tranny.

ok, so now i'm decided to convert it to manual and these are the things my friend told me to look and buy for conversion.

    1. Linkage
    2. Clutch Master
    3. Pedal
    4. M/Transmission
    5. Mechanic (Labor)

anyone here who has an idea or at least just an estimate how much each part would cost and also the labor. It will be a very big help. And also kindly add kung me nakalimutan na dapat palitan.

BTW, how bout pala ung ECU me kelangan ba i-adjust?

    thanks.

you need to change the ECU na rin sir. iba kse fuel mapping ska rev limit ng matic ecu. try mo swap yng matic ecu mo for a manual ecu. sir joey quoted good prices for the parts that you need. if you want you can also change ur gauge cluster pro pwede na din idisable n lng yng matic shift light.

you forgot the clutch slave, flywheel, pressure plate, clutch disc and release bearing.

the intake manifold is also different and you might have problems with the iacv.

then the box has to be replaced with a manual one para you don't have a CEL code.

my friend told me me ico-convert or i-disable lang sa ecu, parang wire or fuse something?

it's not foolproof. you will still get intermittent cel's from time to time.
