July 8th, 2009 11:39 AM #1I've been using my Kia Picanto since I got it in March 2006 and never really had any serious problem with it until this year. It was stalled in the middle of EDSA so I had it towed to Wheels E. Rodriguez (where I bought it) and they said it needs a transmission overhaul. The price quoted was PhP 40,000 just for the materials. Thinking that it's too expensive, I decided to go around Banawe to look for cheaper options.
Found CARBUCKS (very near the corner of Banawe and Quezon Ave) and they said they can get the A/T overhaul kit in two weeks so I left the car there. They immediately dismantled the transmission and it's been sitting there for almost a month now and their supplier still hasn't had any delivery for the overhaul kit.
I'm getting paranoid. Baka chop chop na ang Picanto ko. Balak ko ngang puntahan this week. Does anyone in here have any experience dealing with CARBUCKS in Banawe?
Is there anywhere else in Banawe where I might be able to get the A/T overhaul kit? CARBUCKS quoted PhP 12,500 for the kit, PhP 7,500 labor. I really want to get it fixed and any leads from Tsikot forum members would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot!
