mga sir, were planning to buy a lancer 2003, and were thinking if we buy the invecs transmission or just stick with the manual or a/t. What are the advantages and disadvantages, my opinion is pag tagal ng car due to wear and tear eh mas mahal ang servicing and repair ng invecs unlike the other tranny type. Please i need your technical inputs

INVECS will be pretty much at par with your usual A/T when it comes to running cost siguro. Contrary to popular belief, hindi naman madali masira ang A/T provided you know how to use it. May mga A/T cars kami from '75 pa, eh.

Mas madalas pa masira yung manual dahil sa balasubas driving ng ibang naging drivers namin.

only downsides with A/T is the increased fuel consumptioned and repair costs when it does breakdown.

the "invecs" A/T is mechanically identical to any other conventional A/T... so repair costs, performance, and fuel economy won't really differ much from a conventional A/T.

yeah, pareho nga pala po yung a/t and invecs ng lancer, astig kasi yung itsura, may + and -, para sigurong f1 car yun, havent test drive it yet, sama ko sa erpat ko pag test drive na nya. Tanong din namin kung what is difference bet. MX and GLS. Kaso daming ring factors para bumili ng sedan, dagdag pa yang rumor about the excise tax na baba yung mga sedans. OT lang konti

the worst thing you can do to an AT car with hydramatic transmission (INVECS I, INVECS II) is run it on NUETRAL. that is, NEVER shift to nuetral while the vehicle is still moving. another is having it towed with the front wheels (the driving wheels) down on the road. dapat pag on-tow ang car ang front wheels ay naka-angat.

now for the INVECS III lancer 2003, CVT na yan at hindi yan hydramatic. CVT transmissions are belt-driven. the main components are a steel belt running between 2 variable-diameter pulleys. unfortunately since i have no experience with this kind of transmission yet, that is all i can give you for now.
