Same with our 1.3L iDSI CVT ride,- no need to reprogram the ECU after the battery change.... No problem whatsoever with our ride.

Over a span of ~5 years,- replaced the battery thrice already. Last one was March this year... A battery, in our case, lasts for 18months approx.

Nakaka asar pag Honda CVT. Nalunod yung Honda CVT ko and I had to change CVT fluid 5 times before the fluid became clean and with no contamination. And it was over several days (as just changing like engine oil will not work). And one 3.5L cost P2K++.

I might have done it incorrectly but then my CVT now is clean and not contaminated. Doing it by myself did save me labor charges (plus no waiting line).

And I plan to change it again after 6 months just to make sure. Mahal pag masira CVT tranny.

    Guys,

I bought a Honda Jazz 1.5 Vtec CVT 2007 model ung LED lights na last 2 months ago. I had a problem na namamatayan nalang bigla when stop and go ako.. then humina busina so i concluded that it was the battery so padeliver ako sa motolite. Then everything is fine na naman until after one month, parang bumababa idle ko.. same with suysuy pero 500rpm naman minimum ko.. then last thursday, namatayan then start automatically ako pag nagbrake nung nasa trafik ako sa c5.. pag trafik ko lang naexperience so i turn-off the aircon and radio para d mamatayan.. d nako maniniwalang battery na fault neto so i don't know what the problem is na.. dalin ko sa casa this tuesday palang.. ano kaya problems? 23k na tinakbo ng car... so iniisip ko baka CVT fluid.. try ko reatach battery later para mareset then test it again bka kasi d ko nareprogram ung CVT..

    good day guys,

    maraming salamat.

Hello all. My Honda City 1.3 idsi CVT 2006 never had a problem with the transmission. As a matter of fact, it is very reliable and very smooth. I just follow the fluid change as per manual (every 2 yrs or every 20T kilometer) . Its cheap, 2,500 every two years is a piece of cake.

ako po ung jazz ko po na cvt model 2007, casa maintained yung car, at talagang sinusunod ko ung sa checklist kung may mga kailangan replace.

last january 2010 nag-uumpisa siya na tumatalon yung sa rpm (from 800-1300) kapag naka stop (for example: red stoplight) pero parang it had to happen once a day at tapos twice siya pipitik ung rpm, it went on until february dinala ko na sa honda to tell them kasi nakakainis na rin. ang ginawa nila calibrate and reset ng computer box, nawala naman ung pagtalon ng rpm, well for about 2weeks.

Tapos ngayon ito na naman. i just hope it's nothing like sir suysuy's case. malapit na rin matapos ung warranty ng car ko. months na lang ang binibilang.

tumatalon? wow. parang papunta yan sa case ko ah hehe. ok ba deceleration mo? sa akin kasi pag bitaw sa gas lets say from 60kph or 45kph, in just 3 seconds 20kph na lang takbo mo then it will just jerk parang rubber band na pumitik lol.

buti nga 800 to 1300 lang yung jump ng rpm mo. sa akin paminsan 200rpm nalang ang idle ko hirap na hirap na ang makina. minsan naman 1500rpm. and worst case scenario? up and down up and down up and down.

I already talked to my dad na, he said to observe ko muna for a while. siya na bahala makipag usap sa honda after, i think the guys there sa honda is not taking me seriously parang wala sila alam kung ano nangyayari. dapat alam nila na may ganyang issue.

yan ang tinatawag na judder. google honda cvt judder. youll be surprised with the results. your start clutch might be beginning to show its wear and tear. our cvt does not have a torque converter, but it has a clutch.

wag mo nang patagalin yan. worst case scenario, hindi na tatakbo yang jazz mo hehe.

can i have your cp number?paki message nalang sa akin. i wanna talk about this. i have a lot to ask hehe

    good luck sayo suy..

i had similar problem with you but i didnt bother to repair it.. binenta ko na lang ng palugi and too bz to fix it..

i rather spend time working that fixing hehe..

marami talaga nag kaka prob sa CVT. i can say more than 75% ang A/T CVT

but ther are some na nakukuha sa flushing it 3 times

but i guess yung sayo wala na pag asa..

I disagree with you sir. I know a lot of people having a car with CVT but they never had a problem like yours. My two officemates cars are honda cvt 2004 and 2003 but until now gamit nila pamasok arawaraw...80km/aday 5times a week. This is the reason din kaya bumili ako ng car with CVT din, mine is 2006 model CVT, never had a problem until now like what you described. Maybe some has problems due to factory or maintenance issues..but I strongly believe it is not >75%. May mga manual tranny kahit brand new nagkakaproblem din, i know some. Kaya from then, nagtiwala na ako sa matic at di naman ako binigo sa tagal ng paggamit ko sa car ko.
