My clutch just quit on me and when I tried to check the thingy where you put the break fluid DOT3 (Just near the break fluid canister thingy), it's empty!!!!

Only question I have is can I put some fluid and maybe drive it back home? I really don't have the money yet to have this fixed.

Though can you guys tell me the estimate of how much I'll be needing to shell out for this?

I've checked the bottom part of my dash where my steering wheel is and I didn't see or feel (yeah, I've touched it too) any leaks. However, I tried to inspect the part where the master clutch thingy goes and I did see a leak (not sure if that's where it came from though)

But bottom line is, will I be able to drive it home just by refilling the clutch thingy by DOT3 Break Fluid?

    Thanks in advance

Try replenishing the fluid. Bring some with you to replenish when it's low again.
To make the slave cylinder piston cup swell and minimize the leak, you can add about a spoonful of baby oil (just to get you home) to the brake fluid. When you have the time later, flush the master cylinder , line and slave cylinder with denatured alcohol and repair or replace both repair kits or both cylinders.

Fill up the brake and clutch reservoir and step on the clutch pedal many times until you're able to put the car into gear.

Yes, it should be able to bring you home... Then you have more time to repair it.

And, from now on, regularly check the reservoir.

    maybe.
    maybe not.
but we will never find out if we do not try.
    good luck, po.

btw, how's your brakes? i believe many cars have only one reservoir for both brakes and clutch.

Bukad pa kasi ako magkaka time para mapaayos, the mechanic estimated it for about 1k. Pero po as for price, update ko po tomorrow.

    For future reference:

    The upper thingy is

    the master cylinder, and

    The lower thingy is

    the slave cylinder.

When you call stuff "thingy" it sounds so feminine ;)
