Lately, bigla nagloloko starting ng automatic
transmission car namin. After turning off engine
or parking it less than about 30 minutes, then
    pag-start mo...ayaw start........Then pag-ginalaw namin
shifting gear up and down.....then start mo ulit...mag-start
na engine.....Last few days, we have to do it about 5 times
before it starts.....Pag park naman namin ng matagal...one click
lang start na..........By the way our car is Nissan March 2002
Model..Its battery is still new......Hope you can help us guys...

Thank you and Happy New Year to all!!!!!

Top of mind ko, starter solenoid. Pwede rin carbon brush ng starter or starter mismo.

Happened to me once also, turned out starter solenoid lang pala.

    Hello,

It has nothing to do with the transmission, my Alty was like that before too, the prob is your starter... AT requires a bit more juice for it to start properly, unlike in MT. Battery and starter has to be in tip top shape.

Yup, happened to our office's Suzuki APV AT. Starter solenoid dumikit. Baka pwede pa namang madala sa linis.

If you move the shift lever and it starts after you do that, it's the neutral safety switch - responsible for turning on the reverse lights, allowing the ignition to only start in neutral (N) or park (P) only.

as you said ng ginalaw mo yung shifting stick up and down, probably yung safety switch nga ang sira. automatic transmission will start only on park position, others pwede rin sa neutral.

    this also happened to me...
in one case the engine wont crank...
I also asked about this in another forum (clubopelph.com)
shift cable (shift bar) or gear selector...
what happens is even though you put the gear in P or N (P in my case), it could not sense that it is in P... shifting to N ok naman...

the car is an opel astra AT... dont know if it is applicable to your car... check if there is some mechanism that checks the gear position on starting as mentioned by other poster...

    hope this helps..

If this is the case my suspect is your battery. It might be weak already. Eh why sa umaga it STart? PLEASE BE INFORMED that the whole night your battery have recovered it's strength. Kapag hindi umistart po, please check your battery voltage, it should have a reading of 12.5vdc or a little bit higher sa multi meter tester. Now start your engine or crank your engine with the tester in place sa battery terminals, it should have a reading of 9 vdc and up habang ineestart. If the reading is 9, 10 ,11vdc your battery is GOOD! .if below 9vdc, say 8, 7, 6vdc. replace your battery or
Check first your alternator and voltage regulator, your charging system might giving you a problem.
