Help! clutch whirring noise!

Hello! I'm new here in this forum and I have found the threads here very informative and helpful. I was hoping somebody could help me with my problem. I am a new driver and I know nothing much about cars. I own an Isuzu Sportivo 2007 model M/T. Just last week, when I disengage the clutch (step on it), I hear a whirring sound. It is not loud but it is noticeable without the radio on. It only happens when I step on the clutch regardless if I'm changing gears or coming to a full stop. I plan to have my car checked this Friday, but I'm really hoping somebody could give me an idea on what is wrong and what to ask my mechanic. Thanks in advance!! Happy driving!!

baka release bearing. if the sound is really coming from the tranny.

tama ka bro, kapag tinatapakan o nirerelease ang clutch pedal at may ingay,release bearing na yun...

papalitan na kaagad bago lumala....

i experienced the same thing too, peo baliktad saken kc when i depressed it dun maingay but when i press it nawawala, i changed the release bearing meron parin, gear oil lng pla katapat...

Hi mga Sir's,

last December i bought an old Nissan Sentra EX Saloon 95 model. so matanda na po sya. and im really having difficulties sa clutch / transmission nya.

first time, masyado malalim apakan so dinala ko po sa evangelista, makati to have it checked. inadjust nila ung cable para hindi malalim. the problem now, is that getting into gears is really difficut na pag 1st and 2nd gear, may grinding sound. ayoko na po tuloy gamitin kasi nakakatakot masiraan. may advice po ba kayo kung ano sira and estimated cost?

Sir same tayo... pag hindi naka press yun clutch may ingay or kahit half clutch lng pero pg full press ng clutch nawawala. minsan naman pag nakaneutral lang may ingay. now i know try ko sa next PMS ko palagyan ng gear oil.

up ko lang, sir ok na ba tranny mo ngayon? magkano nagastos mo? kasi may whirring sound din oto ko pag inaapakan, pero nangyayari lang everytime na bagong start siya, tpos nawawala na din, release bearing din kya? help din mga sir, salamat!

the bearing alone is probably in the neighborhood of a thousand bucks.
labor is probably higher.

that is why, some car owners would replace their release bearing, everytime the trans is opened.
