Guys do you experience hard shifting in the morning specifically during your first start-up of your vehicle? Ako kasi ang hirap i-shift sa first and 3rd gear eh. Parang may sumasabit. Is this related to the warming up of a vehicle? Kasi after a few kilometers, and kung completely warmed up na ang sasakyan ko, ok naman na.

I've experienced something similar, but it is just when shifting our old telstar to reverse first time in the morning after starting it up and when getting it out of the garage. It's been like that for a long time already.

yes, normally that's a sign of that you have to replace tranny/gear oils na.

    Artpogi,

Last time we checked ok pa naman ang oils eh. Also, bakit kapag completely warmed up na ang auto, ok na ang shifting? Anyway, i'll have my mechanic take a second look at my gear oil.

    Thank

kung di po makuha sa replacement ng gear oil and adjustment ng clutch, then most probably there is a problem in one or all of the clutch component or in the transmission itself.

Try the cheapest solution first, which is the replacement of the gear oil, then clutch adjustment, then clutch bleed, then kung di pa din ma solve ang problem saka lang ipababa ang clutch to replace the pressure plate, clutch disc and release bearing.

I'm going to have my clutch components replaced this weekend 'cause I too is having problems shifting and I'm pretty sure my gear oil is pretty new cause I've just replaced them a few months back.

Now if replacing the clutch components doesn't solve the problem, then it's the tranny na siguro, a synchronizer maybe or a gear, which is really expensive. (knock on wood)

Hard to shift to 1st or reverse when the engine is hot?

I think it is time to replace your clutch assembly. Its a sign that your clutch needs replacement of the(disc, plate, bearings) and probably clutch cable too.

It is not enough to adjust your clutch. You can drive it for a few hundred kms but you might end up stranded in a dark and perilous place.

Its a SIGN so better replace it.

sir, before changing the transmission parts, kung hydraulic type, i suggest i-pa bleed nyo muna clutch nyo or palitan na po ninyo yung master and slave cylinder repair kit. pag luma na kasi yung mga parts na 'to,pag umiinit na, nag iiba ang texture ng mga rubber parts kaya nagkakaroon ng air leak. hence, hirap i kambyo. kung cable type naman, check nyo muna yung cable. ganun din nangyayari sa old cables pag umiinit. gumaganit, which contributes to hard shifting.
