clutch question

i have a 97 cefiro manual. i notice that whenever i try to shift from 1st to 2nd gear when the car is moving, i have mild difficulty releasing the clutch from 1st gear. parang ayaw niya bitawan (very mild lang but you can feel it). i hope i explained it right pero ganun yung experience ko e. pero sa other gears 2 to 5 ok naman siya. release/shifting is flawless. i also notice pag naka stop siya dun ok yung change from 1st to 2nd. smooth siya.

Im not that sure but from what i experience from my Corona M/T when shifting from 2nd to 1st gear mahirap talaga... I think its some sort of safety device... Even in our other car ganun din hirap mag shift from higher gear to 1st gear. pero sayo Clutch kamo e...

could be a synchro. but kung mild problem lang na di masyado notable then cost to replace/fix it might not be worth the trouble.

does it happen everytime the cluth pedal "won't release" from 1st-2nd gear? or once in awhile?
parang hindi transmission eh. more like the clutch master baka may hangin sa system or dirty fluids. try replacing the cluth fluid first, then check the cluth pedal springs...

yeah parang clutch master somewhere i think or something bsta sa clutch but not that sure... dalhin mo sa casa sir or any reputable shop sure ako babalik yan sa normal..

baka naninikit yun clutch disc? check mo muna yun play ng master lower yun sa push rod kung walang delay pag release mo ng pedel. if not, check the clutch system (plate, disc, etc).

nuong bago sya ganyan na ba talaga sya o ngayon lang nagloloko?? na-check nyo na po ba gear oil mya??

as far as i know, hinde siya ganyan before. i can easily shift to 2nd gear with ease. it happens everytime e. especially pag nasa 3k rpm na siya. parang hirap siya tanggalin from first gear. parang na stuck pero di naman yung di ko na matanggal.

i think i'll have the clutch fluid checked muna, see if that will fix it. tapos kung ayaw check ko nalang yung clutch system niya.

me too mga sir, in my part naman nag-change ako ng oil seal, lahat ng seal sa car ko even sa oil seal ng transmission but thats my problem pag shift to 1st and 2nd gear, medyo matigas. ano kaya problem don?

same suspect kami ni speedyfix...your synchronizer is showing wear and tear. Mahal ipaayos ito pero it might do a lot before it ruins your tranny. Your synchronizer synchronizes your gear when you shift.

lahat naman ng bagay sa auto kaya ayusin. it really just depends on the budget you have to work with and what is really wrong with the transmission. without seeing the car it might be hard for me to make comments about price and difficulty of the job tho.

salamat sa advice niyo. how much kaya yung cost ng pagpalit ng synchronizer (kung io nga yung cause)? just a ball park figure will do. isa pa na notice ko, ngayon parang everytime ipasok ko sa 1 or 2 gear i can hear a low grinding noise, parang metal to metal ba? pero slight lang, tapos wala na rin agad. pero ang sama kasi pakinggan. any thoughts?

i really want to bring the car na sa speedyfix pero right now kasi pinapagawa ko yung compressor ko. pero in the following days siguro daan nalang ako sa speedyfix for checkup.
