Better clutch: hydraulic or cable-type

Which is the "better" clutch system, cable-type or hydraulic? Pros and cons.

I heard that cable-type is much harder to depress, is this true?

Cable-types are harder to press because of the friction between the cable itself and the tube surrounding it. I heard that corollas use the the hydro type and if you try to press one, its like stepping on the gas pedal

di na uso ang cable-type clutch systems ngayon coz hirap magpalit kng naputulan & mabigat apakan, like huggybear said.

hydraulic type clutch systems ang pinaka maganda ngayon kc di kailangan na naka-align yng clutch pedal dun sa tranny (that's why most cars today can be converted from LHD to RHD & vice versa).
problema lng sa hydraulic clutch systems pag nalagyan ng tubig yng reservoir or may leaks, tapos pag di ka nagpapalit ng clutch fluid every year, tumitigas yng clutch pedal (dahil nag-eexpand yng mga linings o goma inside the hydraulics).

yung sentra99 ss namin pinalitan ung cable 6 months ago kc d na daw smooth sabi ng mechanic, kaya mahirap tapakan. i wonder kung pwede kaya ipa-convert un into hydro?

Just like HUGGYBEAR question, kung yung cable type na clutch pwede pa-convert ng hydrolic? Mine kasi is cable din and want to convert it to hydrolic.

halos lahat na yata ngayon hydro.
pero yung "tigas" is model-dependent. mazda's (323 and 626) are known to have heavy clutches.
