guys, recently, my 2000 honda civic has been recommended by the casa during check-up that the clutch master has leak, and needs to be replaced. the slave was not mentioned that it has leak too, but was also recommended for replacement. i was also advised that the d/shaft oil seals need to be replaced.

    1) any reason why these parts need to be replaced? due to normal wear and tear? bad driving habits?
    2) how to verify by myself? any shop/s recommended for 2nd opinions?
    3) additional tips if this problem really occurs (replace whole clutch assembly, etc.?)
    4) what parts to buy, go for the casa, or just at some reputable shops?
    5) dangers/risks when these parts are not replaced the soonest possible time?

thanks in advance for your help guys

    1. clutch master and slave repair kit if available is a much cheaper alternative than replacing the complete assemblies.
    2. d/shaft oil seal, is this drive shaft boot? they get torn from normal wear and tear and can be replaced individually.

are you afraid of the casa?

Hindi naman ata masyadong maselan and master and slave replacement.

A regular service center can fix it.

I am from south of manila. I am not familiar with shops near your area.

well, not really "afraid" of the casa, but i'm sure their prices will be at least twice as much than most of the non-casa shops here in MM. and that's what i'm avoiding, not practical and cost-effective.

there are good auto technicians working with auto supply stores. maybe your auto supply/parts store has one.
